I'm not an architect but figure you guys could answer this question better than any of the other forums.

Are any of the furniture items actual containers (IOW able to hold things like clothes, weapons, resources, etc)? I bought an armoire for my house but can't put anything in it. If this is the case, it kind of turns furniture into just eye candy for your house.

Not right now. I think they are working on it. I use backpacks for containers in my house.

You got backpacks, cargo packs and stackels. Aside from crafting stations, everything else is just eye candy assuming it isnt butt ugly.

How do you put things on tables, and how do you hang a helmet above a chest piece (or other layer situations similar)?

Theres a FAQ on the Architect forum about this.

Essentially you cant raise / lower things atm but if you have a staircase in your house you can drop the item when you go up the stairs then move it to the desired location. and yes it may take a few attempts to get the height right.

Armor stacks as if you are wearing it.

Everything else you have to drop on stairs then move it around. The hard part is finding the correct height.

Does anyone know where I can find the correct dimensions for ALL player-crafted furniture? I am experimenting with a program for laying out the SWG homes. I would like to be able to experiment with scale floorplans and furniture offline, and then apply my designs to in-game structures.

I'll be posting this in the Architect Profession forum as well.
