Thread: Factory Issues

Ok... I'm having problems with my factory... after creating 74/99 items, it stopped. I then started it, and I'm getting out of resource errors... BUT I have those resources in the hopper... I can't even remove the schematic from the factory. If I re-deed the factory will I lose the power/resources that are in it (or is it now like extractors?).

I am having a similar problem. I made some stuff in my factory, powerups, worked great twice. Now the third time I put in the schematic and the materials, choose start and it starts. About a minute later it stops with 0 made but eats the resources it takes to make one powerup. Cannot get it started. Any info would be great.

How about a halt on factory maintance costs at least untill the **edit** things work?

Factories work like harvesters in that they maintain money (over the redeed fee) and power... however they still lose the current schematic.

Hey, I decided to make a large crate of small structurals, keep components stocked at LOW # of items. My factory instead of turning out a crate of 75, gave me 7 crates of 10 and one of 5. Does this happen across the board or is this a fluke occurance? Input appreciated.

Thanks for info- so this is standard? 10? Well that really makes sense.....?


Any other info for caps on other components? I know Ore Mining Units dont come in a crate, any other specifics I should know about?

last i made a batch power core units comes in crates of 25.

I just started my own business, so I'm using 9 factories very frequently now....but I'm having one problem


I'm making 50 Enhance Pack D's at a time in the factories


This is the schematic for one:


22 units of Avian Meat


22 units of Reactive Gas


2 identical Chemical Release Duration Mechanisms from a factory crate


2 Identical Biological Effect Controllers from a factory crate


1 Solid Delivery Shell


So, if you multiply it all right, for 50 of these enhance packs, it requires this:


1100 units of Avian Meat


1100 Units of Reactive Gas


100 Identical CRDM's


100 Identical BEC's


50 identical SDS's


right?


So, the schematic is made, and it's for a crate of 50 enhance packs.


I insert the above ingredients, and wait the 4 hours...


I get emails that it ran out of BEC's....


So I check the factory, and it made only 47 Enhance Packs.....


There's 44 units of Avian Meat, 44 units of Reactive Gas, 1 crate of 6 CRDM's, and 1 crate of 3 SDS's.


I then have to put in a crate of 6 BEC's, and 22 more units of reactive gas/avian meat and restart the factory.


But hey! I already put all the needed resources into the factory 4 hours ago, what's up?


Any help is appreciated, what's going on?

I don't know that this *always* happens, but this is apparently a known bug that has been around with factories for a long time.

If your schematic has slots for:

A - 50 units
B - 100 units
C - 20 units

(just for illustration purposes)

And you put in 100X of A and B but only 90X of C.

On the 91st item the factory seems to do the following:

- subtract 50 from the amount of A left over
- subtract 100 from the amount of B left over
- subtract 20 from the amount of C left over - oppps - not enough C - ok, let's stop

Notice that it didn't "back out" the deductions from A and B?

I'm not saying that that is exactly what is going on - I'm saying that that is the type of effect that people seem to be seeing.
