Thread: Association for the Protection of Architectural Professionals (APAP)
Hi all,
I say we as architects use these boards as a cross-server cross-planet group of Architectural Professionals who agree to set a standard economy for our goods. It is safe to say that there will always be undercutting, but perhaps we can minimize that through our consolidation.
So I guess the first course of action is asking, "Who's with me?"
Second, lets brainstorm some ideas on pricing. What do you all think is a fair but profitable price for buildings?
To our prosperity,

5 credits per resource is fair IMHO...but you could probably get 10 credits per resource due to high demand right now for houses (I'm still working on NA but I've hearth that is the approx market.)
Don't sell yourself short, 15k is easy to scrape up for a house even for beginner players...so we can easily expect people would be willing to pay more at this state of the game. (15k is approx. 5cred per resource for a small planetary house.)
When you price your deeds...just remember 2 things: the TIME it took you to reach where you are now...and the GDAMN number of CLICKS it took you.
O out.
I'm with you all the way! The first thing we need to do Architects is contact any other novice architects we see spring up, and suggest they sell there items for a given rate, right now I sell for 25k and get minimal complantes, so I suggest to other new architect they sell for 20k or more, because they can get if they are prepaired to wait more than a hour for a customer. Too many novice architects want to make that first sale too much and end up undercutting even themselves, after all the first sell should cover all the expence of getting to that point of skill which is at minimum 5k and more like 20k if your like me and were first on your server.
Second as a member of the APAP it is your oblgation to imediatly buy any house deed you see ont he market for less than 15k, and if it's less than 10k do like me and destroy the things so the stupid newbies don't get skill for being stupid.

Deeds are not giving uxp at the moment. At least personal harvesters and small houses are not. In beta a factory deed gave me about 100 uxp.
Come on Architects let's BAN together and do this ...
Im already seeing Novice stuff being ripped down by the flooded market . Lets make the market price at 20k for a small house ...There is no reason the good mellee and even casual gamer cannot afford this "eventually"
You have my full support

my plan in beta was to createa base price for structures based on wall modules..plus addtional resources..plus your profit
the base was 10K per wall module
so a small would be 10K plus which would bring us between 15-20K as you guys have suggested
the problem is that tehre is no way to enforce any standards...
when the prices start out low they will stay low..
a player is going to buy one of those 8K house and then expect a medium to be 16K...
if anyone has tried to buy large quanties of resources, you know that 8K wont get you much...
Thats wrong, if a player buys a house for 8k, but can't get another, he'll give up trying to find that 8k price and buy one for your prices, providing you don't cave. If there were set standards on how low you could go, it would be a major problem. I'm supprised to see how many communists we have in the SWG universe. I mean I'll think about raising prices, but not for your sake... You people, just disgust me. The USA is what it is because we don't have set standards on prices. If you like this plan so much, go move to cuba or something, look how excellent their economy is... I cannot belive you would think that not setting a standard price is a problem... Just boggles my mind...
HERE HERE JURGEN! APAP sounds great! - What server are you based on?
I was thinking the exact same thing only moments ago when I heard about this "person" (aka 8K/house gonna ruin the economy for Architects on Ahazi)... I mean seriously, he must have nothing to do all day but click click click over and over again. I only hope that soon he gets bored of it and realizes how dumb it is to be barely making enough toget tosupport hisharvestersand I hope he starts having trouble very soon finding spots to put harvesters or additional houses due to the sudden house spam around him taking up so much space. In what should take months to happen, he's going to make true in only a few days... YAY!
BTW, if I were on Ahazi, I would GLADLY buy the resources it takes to make a small house... heck, I'd by a few so I can either sell them for a reasonable price, build houses with it and sell for 15-25K, or save the res and build some bigger houses or more harvesters for myself
. 8K for about 3500 resources! wow, that's a DEAL!

Right now you've got complaints because like a big wave we are all around the same places working for the same goals.. the true branching and extending of the game has not taken place and as that occurs stabelization will as well.
I believe in a free market, and thats how I'm going to live it.. and if some consortium decides to come after me they better come packing cause I'm no noob and neither are those I hang with.
