Thread: Fusion Reactor Has No Purpose Now
What is the purposae of the fusion reactor...
it costs the resources of a large home to build...
all it does is mine radiocative ore...
you can do this by hand or with any other mineral harvestor...
there is no reason to build one...
either it needs to be the ONLY thing that can mine radioactives, maybe it is needed to "enrich: the radioactve ore or it should just be eliminated
Well it does have a lot higher rate of extraction then normal harvesters.
shrug:
I dunno, at least you can use the radioactive as a power source now.
it only pulls a 7...equal to the heavy harvetsors...you are better off just getting a medium harvetsor...it takes way les resources to build...the fusion reactor is right under PA HAll in resources to construct...
there is no reason for a seperate radioactive harvestor if the normal harvetsors can do it
Does a fusion generator need power (and what's fusion about it if it does)?
Does a fusion generator care where it's placed? Is the 7K/H a maximum or a constant?
Well I suppose one thing is that radioactives tend to be found in much higher concentrations than other energy resources.
Sinur yes Please if you can give us more details.
I am currently using Solar have you used solar and how much more energy do you produce with Fusion than Solar. Is what ppl is saying corect that you are just mining the same stuff a personal harvester can pull. Do you have to put it on a vein ( i assume this is the case) or can you place it anywhere.
Please any info on the Fusion would be great!!

ok the reactor only takes maintence (3000K a day) takes no power...so it is cost effective in that sense
it mines radiocative...so the higher the concentration the more you get
in beta i had mine on a 71% spot and it ran for about a weak and i had 75K radioactive...
Sinur.....Can you elaborate on that please? I'm considering converting my power generation to fusion but I'm having some trouble finding information on just how they work and how efficient they are.
What resouce do they need to be placed on, if any? How much maintenance do they require and what's their rated output?
Thanks!
Ozil, you've seen this yourself? If so, I'm very pleased
Also, what is the maintanance rate on the fusion reactor?
Yeah more info on the Fusion reactor. If 13/kh is right then yes that blows the solar out of the water at 7/kh also you can find radio active at much higher rates then 50% which is about all you can find in solar.
Looks like i will be making the switch. What about the cost of moving it how much to redeed?

So is this thing converting radioactive mineral to energy or is the radioactive mineral itself the energy? The beginning of this thread is confusing as people are saying it is harvesting the radioactive.. I noticed that reactive gas and radioactive mineral and solid petro fuel are listed as energy but I was not aware they could be dropped in a harvester.. As a matter of fact, I keep a lot of reactive on hand for making generators for factories and harvesters and such, and it is not included in the energy pool when I feed the harvesters..
So basically, it is a power harvester with a 13kg/h rate that needs to be dropped on a radioactive source. You cannot feed it radioactive mineral you harvest with a harvester? What is the maintenance rate? is it 100? Does it take 1 lot again? If it takes more than 1 lot, it is not worth it as a solar harvester is 8kg/h and takes one. 2 solars can make 16 kg/h max and mine are on a 63% source right now.. Plus the cost of solar is cheap compared to radioactive.. the added cost of making the radioactive would offset the 1 lot benefit for a long time.. perhaps in the long run if there is a severe restriction on lots, but anyone with a friend in game can get more lots..
