Thread: Critical Failures? I think not. Bug/Exploit to avoid losing resources.

This is posted in the Current Architect Issues Thread, I am surprised so many people are complaining still on the crit fails.

All Architect items, to my knowledge, leave resources in the crafting window when you get a critical fail. You cannot proceed by clicking next nor remove resources. You have to hit back and start the session again. However, if you create a macro **/nextcraftingstage;/nextcraftingstage;/nextcraftingstage;/nextcraftingstage;/createprototype**

This will kill the crafting session and create the item anyway. It usually leaves the window open, but if you run the macro again, it will close it.

I have not lost a wall, or any architect item in a week since I read it in the Architect Issues Thread.

While this could be considered an Exploit, I feel it is a bug left alone until a valid solution to Architect fails is placed on the Live Server.

Your macro code looks wrong, i think you need a space between the commands but i have never tested it without.

My Gawd people.

THE MORE YOU CONTINUE TO BRING THIS EXPLOIT UP, THE FASTER ITS GOING TO GO AWAY.

This is the 4th Thread in a week about the exact same thing.

Each time I say the same thing, stop posting about it.

So, for the last time, please people...

Lose 27k resources on something and you'd be telling people to **edit** too. Kthxbye.

I posted it because I keep seeing complaints about losing loads of resources. The issue is not whether or not the exploit should be fixed, it should. It is whether or not architects should take such a significant business stopping loss from one failure. Walls and strcutures should not get critical fails IMO, or at least you should not lose the premade parts when you Critical fail. The issue really needs attention and until it gets it, the only fair thing is for us to all know about this bug/exploit so we can all stop losing 3K+ resources on one fail. kthxbye first time I ever wrote that annoying slogan.

Using exploits to dupe items only creates a situation where people can make endless deeds with few if any resources. This only serves to get a few people with no scruples rich really fast while sending the profession to its death much faster.

I did have a problem with critical failures. I checked my crafting tool rating and then I checked my crafting station rating then improved them to the best that I could. I believe my tool is 14.94 and my station is 33.4 now I have went and gathered resources to improve the station further but untill I get some nice polymer I wont waste the limited high OQ resources I have collected.

If you want less critical failures stop using tools and stations with negitive numbers.

"Stop posting my exploit, I want to keep cheating and them not fix it"

AHAHAHAHAHAH

Yeah. After losing 55,000 resources on a PA hall, and having this feature work to save thoes resources, yeah.. I do like the expliot.

But more so, Im just tired of hearing it brought up in every second or third thread. This isn't the place to disuss HOW toexploit... Im sure Sony doesn't want new players to be able to log into thefourms "Exploit" thread and just startexploiting but thats basically what these threads do.

"Stop posting my exploit, I want to keep it until Sony deals with our critical failure rate."

Hordin seriously, this debate over critical fail's has been around forever. We all know the better the tools the better the results to an extent. but my 40% stations and 13% tools didn't stop that PA from criting (good minerals too of course)

"Using exploits to dupe items only creates a situation where people can make endless deeds with few if any resources."

No... All the exploit does it give you a 2nd chance to build the item again. You can awlays crit again and lose it completly.

People, the macro is not an exploit.

I can use this exact same Macro (actually he has it wrong) when making stimpacks and other items I make a lot of and I *DO* get failures. It's *NOT* the macro that's an exploit.

You cannot exploit with a macro. AFK sampling was NOT an exploit either. It STILL isn't.

The Macro *CAN* and *DOES* fail.

This IS an exploit. You fail the item but onarchitectureitems the resources stay sitting in the window. then you run that macro and you get the item anyway. It's not saying if you run the macro, you'll never fail.

I don't think everyone understands the severity of an exploit. Hopefully the CSR team will start acting like wedid on Everquest:

"Exploits are a bannable offense"

Then they can just swoop through here and snatch up all the accounts of the morons who admitted to using the exploit. Ignorance of the law does not excuse you from breaking it. A police officer will not let you off with a warning if you run over an old lady while drunk simply because you say "I'm sorry, I didn't realise that was illegal."

What they should do is set a flag on Architects showing the last time they crit failed a final combine on any particular schematic. Then watch the ones that havent for a while maybe even inducing a crit fail while watching. Ban away...

ok ok, im stupid. I just want to know how to use this macro and when to use it so I can slow down this carpusle disease in my wrist and fingers. exactly when do you use this macro? what stage? after you insert the ingrediants into the schematic? I dont care about the crit fails, I just want to know how you use it so I dont click as much...
