I don't doubt it at all. I fundamentally believe the devs are not hearing our issues whatsoever from the Architect playerbase.

I recall, 6-9 months ago, someone stating that "OMU's not crating was as intended, due to their size they should not crate" or something along those lines.

They're the same size as all the other similar components (TFDP, HHU, etc) so I don't see where that argument would hold water.


Still, given the "Arooo? Whazzat? OMU's aren't crating?!? This is the first we've heard of THIS!" reaction from the devs, I don't expect any action on this front any time soon.

    Actually I do beleive part of the intent was to make the crafting of Miners Harder. Since Miners are probably the number one seller for most architects.. .. I have been arguing that there are better methods of making a task more difficult.. the crating issue is more or less annoying... thus not doing what is intended.

    OMUs serve the same role as Turbo Fluidic Drilling Pump Units or Heavy Harvester Units, both of which crate up just fine, so I don't see any logic at all in OMUs being uncrated.


    Honestly, every time I try to visualize the software "objects" that form the basis of the game, I cannot for the life of me understand why it is difficult to change "crate_size_max" from 0 to 10 for the OMUs. And if it isn't structured (conceptually) that way, then I just shake my head.

    So Dvnce is this a specific answer that they've given? You have the "I do believe" qualifier in there so I'm not certain.
