Thread: question about crafting stations
Yes, crafting stations can be experimented on. When u experiment u see % increases, but not stats that let u know how ur experiments have affected the performance of the machine. The best I have ever got with experimentation is +94% on effectiveness. Some ppl swear an experimented station performs better for them. I can't say for sure if they do or not as I have not tested over a period of time on 2 machines to see if one outperforms the other.
I don't think you can tell from examine if the machine has been experimented on, but they can be experimented up for sure.
Have you all tried making a crafting station with the optional components? Do you know what it does?
I created two last night and from what I've heard it adds a hopper to the crafting station BUT I have yet to find out how to access it.

Kinda new to medic prof, so bear with me...
If I buy a private crafting station(assuming I can find one), and put it in my house, would this be the ultimate setup? Would I still need to go to a public crafting station for any reason? In other words, can I experiment, and craft everything for medic/doctor with one? Will a private station do/make everything that tools/public stations do/make?
If private station is the way to go, does anybody know where I can get one on the Kauri server?
Thanks
Yup.. you will along the line need a private crafting station anyway. You can only get certain schematics to pop up to use when crafting with a private crafting station. You can experiment and do all that you need to do with it. I personally haven't used a public crafting station in ... well ... I don't actually remember the last time I've used a public crafting station lol.
So purchasing a private one is good
Also, check the rating on the private crafting station. **edit in** The higher the crafting station ... the better it is. I think I'm using one in the upper 30's, lower 40's. I'd have to look once I got in game.
And as for Kauri .. I don't play there.. best bet is to go find an archietects vendor .. or ask on Kauri's trade forums. ![]()

I have tried and tried, but to no avail I cannot get anything about a 22 rating. Any suggestions or a link to a FAQ about crafting stations???
Yes the experimentation on the mico sensor suites does matter to the quality of the crafting stations.
From the FAQ:
Q-5.5: How do I make a good crafting station? How do I get above 14.xx rating?
A-5.5: To make a crafting station with a high functional rating in the 40's you need to use all the optional components and everything has to be highly experimented with high quality materials. Currently crafting stations use artisan experimentation rather than architect experimentation so you need to have all the artisan experimentation points to get a max rating. The crafting station itself should use 400 of very high conductivity metal (usually copper has high cond.) say around 990 or better. The other 50 units of mineral can be an ore which does not have conductivity and therefore does not count in the formula. All the control unit and micro sensor suite parts use high overall quality and it should be as high as you can get. The droid storage components have to be made by a droid engineer and highly experimented using material with high OQ and conductivity. The control units and micro sensors are master artisan items. So you'll either need to find master artisan and master DE suppliers or attain those skills yourself.
