First, this may be a completely stupid question, but is there any difference in the quality of a crafting station? And, if there is, how can I tell the quality of it? Thanks in advance!

Yes, crafting stations can be experimented on. When u experiment u see % increases, but not stats that let u know how ur experiments have affected the performance of the machine. The best I have ever got with experimentation is +94% on effectiveness. Some ppl swear an experimented station performs better for them. I can't say for sure if they do or not as I have not tested over a period of time on 2 machines to see if one outperforms the other.

I don't think you can tell from examine if the machine has been experimented on, but they can be experimented up for sure.

Have you all tried making a crafting station with the optional components? Do you know what it does?

I created two last night and from what I've heard it adds a hopper to the crafting station BUT I have yet to find out how to access it.

Kinda new to medic prof, so bear with me...

If I buy a private crafting station(assuming I can find one), and put it in my house, would this be the ultimate setup? Would I still need to go to a public crafting station for any reason? In other words, can I experiment, and craft everything for medic/doctor with one? Will a private station do/make everything that tools/public stations do/make?

If private station is the way to go, does anybody know where I can get one on the Kauri server?

Thanks

Yup.. you will along the line need a private crafting station anyway. You can only get certain schematics to pop up to use when crafting with a private crafting station. You can experiment and do all that you need to do with it. I personally haven't used a public crafting station in ... well ... I don't actually remember the last time I've used a public crafting station lol.

So purchasing a private one is good Also, check the rating on the private crafting station. **edit in** The higher the crafting station ... the better it is. I think I'm using one in the upper 30's, lower 40's. I'd have to look once I got in game.

And as for Kauri .. I don't play there.. best bet is to go find an archietects vendor .. or ask on Kauri's trade forums.

I have tried and tried, but to no avail I cannot get anything about a 22 rating. Any suggestions or a link to a FAQ about crafting stations???

I get +42 atm but am still enhancing my resources

The Key to Increasing is the subcomponents Master Artisan And Droid Engineer Made

For instance my DE makes Droid storage from the best material available on my server experimented to 95% and that makes a change from 38 - 42 in the rating

similar changes are made with the control units and the micro sensors AND the sub components of the Micro sensors.

Its about taking charge of the Whole process

The Artisan Itens are all dependent on OQ only until the Micro sensor assembly so All other stats can be ignored in making em u need to aim for AT LEAST 90% experiment on all of em

The micro sensors need OQ and Conduct ratio 2-1 and since includes a steel component cant be much more than 90% final figure I currently get 86% its where I can improve

The final assembly is for conductivity only I have 1000 Conduct copper to assemble it !

You need to quality control the whole process but if you do the rewards are SALES

Just build the resource stock up and it will grow

I would just like to say that Sony has given me one thing. A truely new experience: considering Microsoft to be the lesser of two evils.

Yeah i looked through the fact, but really didn't see anyhting that answered my question. I am a master artisan and working on DE (if I can ever get seom freeking Ditanium steel) I figured the Droid storage cmpartments would count, but correct me if I'm wrong, but does experminting on micro sensor suits actually mean jack??? I have never seen a stat on them change.... So is it something that really matters?

Yes the experimentation on the mico sensor suites does matter to the quality of the crafting stations.

From the FAQ:

Q-5.5: How do I make a good crafting station? How do I get above 14.xx rating?

A-5.5: To make a crafting station with a high functional rating in the 40's you need to use all the optional components and everything has to be highly experimented with high quality materials. Currently crafting stations use artisan experimentation rather than architect experimentation so you need to have all the artisan experimentation points to get a max rating. The crafting station itself should use 400 of very high conductivity metal (usually copper has high cond.) say around 990 or better. The other 50 units of mineral can be an ore which does not have conductivity and therefore does not count in the formula. All the control unit and micro sensor suite parts use high overall quality and it should be as high as you can get. The droid storage components have to be made by a droid engineer and highly experimented using material with high OQ and conductivity. The control units and micro sensors are master artisan items. So you'll either need to find master artisan and master DE suppliers or attain those skills yourself.

thanks... I looked on several forms, but I may have simply overlooked it in my browsing... I'll see about experminting on the sensor suits and see what I get there, and just go off the % listed, and not worry that it's not showing any othe mod changes....

I'm having some problems with this as well. The highest ones I've seen on my server are 44.49. So I looked at SWGCraft and I got every resources listed that had the highest stats required. I even got a new resource with a higher stat than previously available. So I thought I should be able to top the 44.49. Wrong! I got 43.66 instead. I know there is room for improvement (my storage modules are 96% and my micro sensor suites are 92%), but I wonder how someone can make a 44.49 with (probably) the same resources as I'm using. Maybe there were HQ resources available early in the game that are not listed on SWGCraft?

Can anyone shed some light on this?
