Thread: Crafting Bug?

When crafting an object, if you hit esc, any/all resources you have put into the hopper is lost. I did not think you would be out those resources, because you have yet to combine them and face the dreaded "critical failure" every once in a while.

Is it supposed to happen like this? There are no warnings of any kind saying that the resources would be lost. Just a PITA sometimes

Today i was treating some wounds and making some stipmpacks and stuff then i get aa message that says "Your inventory is full please free up space" or something like that so i delete some items and i click on the craft tool again and again pops up the same message and also my data pad is only 15% full.

can someone help? thanks

Yeah, its weird like that, I got stuck with it for ages too. What its actually saying is that at the time you tried to create the item, your inventory was full and it couldn't output the item into your inventory, so it stayed in the output hopper. Therefore, when you try to use to tool again, it says you cant because the output hopper is not empty. To get your item you need to select 'output hopper' or something like that on one of the radial menus to get your item and free up your crafting tool.

Hope that helps

Nope, that's not the problem. I can craft certain lower levelitems just fine, but the more advanced deeds will not show up in my structure crafting station. They appear in my datapad so I know I should be able to make them, I've already submitted a bug report and opened a help ticket but I was just wondering if anyone else had encountered this.

A question for all you other architects out there. I currently have installations III and I'm working towards inst. IV. I have the schematics in my data pad for type 3 chemical extractors and type 2 natural gas processors, but when I open my structure crafting station those deeds are not available for crafting. Has anyone else encountered this bug? (I play on Eclipse server btw.)

You probaly need to be at your own personal crafting station. Either make one (if you haven't already) or buy a droid with a Structural Crafting module.

I just wanted to post about this. I have been having this problem for the last few weeks and was wondering if anyone else is.

First of all...I am not macroing, not doing anything funky with commands

I would say about 1 out of 3 times my crafting session just ends. And I get a message that "crafting session ended".

It happens at different times, sometimes when I first start the sessions, other times I have already put ingrediants into the schematics.

The frustrating thing is when it happens anytime after I have put things into the schematic is I loose those ingredients. I have no other crafting windows open during this time either, the only window I will have open is my inventory. I have tried it near a stationary crafting station ...I still get the same thing. I have tried it outside vs. inside a building. Same thing.

Any ideas? I am at a loss.

Have you ever run any macros before?

Hmm. Well, I asked since this happened to me once. What happened was a macro somehow got continually looped, even after a full log off/on. Though, nothing a simple /dump command couldn't fix.

Not too sure...

Well..I havent tried using the /dump command. I am willing to try anything at this point however.

I was speaking about this over a channel and I am not the only one that is having this problem.

This might sound overly obvious...but have you tried another crafting device / station? Who knows maybe the one you have is bugged somehow.
