Thread: Urban Planner?
Most skill trees need 63 points I think this would be no different.
Dumin
ION, Naboo
Chilastra
I would hope the skill cost would be substantially less as you have to master architect in order to access it.
Shylok, Architect at large
UPSWG
Lowca
really , I hope its a bubble rather then a whole proffesion.
I mean look at the Bounty hunter, 3 master's to be a master BH. so there is less likely an option to get an elite proffesion for the BH guys.
I have no clue on the points needed. From what I do know it branches off of master architect. Personally I think its a joke and an insult to architects. What they SHOULD do is change the worthless, pointless contruction line of the architect tree to an urban planningline and give master architects the abilities for urban planning. This would eliminate the "need" to fabricate an item decay system for our product by giving us more useful things to do once everyone has all the structures they could need or want.
All an elite elite profession like this will do is encourage more "grinder" types to blow through the architect tree borking the economy further.
Devs have said there won't be any special elite-elite skill points or any skill points added. You'll just have to be very specialized if you want to go the urban planner route. If you can't handle that much specialization then your own choice. They haven't said though if it is going to take the standard 63 points to master.
yeh, what he said.
Our only "hope" is that they won't require the full 63 to master it. They've already shot down our other chances of getting out of this with the ability to be an urban planner and do anything other than spend all day burst running from chubas while we try to go to our harvesters.
Sergeant Vilkata Grazioso - Master Architect, Master Creature Handler (until Urban Planner is released, then I'll be lucky to be a novice scout)
Well my char is a 100% pure crafter Master Artisan->Master Architech + Novice Droid Engieneer (for the droid storage modules). I have a wopping 30 combat xp from the tutorial (first char wanted to see it). I plan on being a Master Urban Planner or what ever its going to be called. So i have no problem with the urban planner costing antoher 60+ skill points. Also its not as bad as most think, you only need to get engineering 1-4 on the Artisan tree to become an Architech. The only draw back is you will not have the ability to make GP modules for the Architech's torches. Heck if you are really worried about that just make about 500 of them before you drop the skills. Thats a drop in the bucket comparied to the resource cost of a PA hall.
Here is just some ideas of what the Urban Planner might look like. This is just off the top of my head
Recreation 1-4
Parks
Fountains
Statues
etc.. all the stuff in cities that are just for looks
-Municipal 1-4
Shuttle Ports
Space Ports
Banks
Cloneing Faclities
Town Halls
Medical Centers
-Economy 1-4
Cantinas
PC NPC Vendors Tents
NPC Trainers
Bazzar terminals
-Inferstructure 1-4
Arches
Walls
Mission Terminals(all types)
Streets
Total = 250
Master Artisan = 77
Master Architect = 77
Marksman (Range & Range Special) = 33
67 left over =( what to do...

Where did they say this? And also master architect is 1 point. Maybe urban planner is just one box and 1 skill point?
