quit grinding

It would be better if the completed architech and made experimentation/quality matter.

Heavies don't pull in nearly fast enough to keep an architect up too speed on resources required.

Howabout adding a top tier extracter that only architect professions can use. Something that pulls at like 10-14k/h. The sacrifice could be that this thing pulls Quanity, at the loss of Quality.

Prehaps it could take the current Value of the resource it's pulling, and devide the quality in half. So a 800 Quality steel location, with one of these Uber Harvesters on it would be pulling in twice as much steel a day, but that steel is only going to come out as 400QL.

This way Architect's can get more resources to keep up with the 30-40k resources required per building, and other professions won't really be missing out or wanting to buy the resources your uber harvester is pulling, because of reduced Quality (keeping the resources in the architect's hands)

Just a thought.

Yikes...I don't want anything to do with experimentation for a final product. Sure, I'd love to have it be worth something for the components, but that's just because these things can be made into schematics. I shudder at the thought of of succeeding at a final combine of a heavy harv, only to crit fail an experimentation and the quality drop to zero.

How exactally would this be used for grinding if it's a top tier (master) item?

It would be used to help MASTER architects acquire more resources so they can fill the need's of the customers.

Without 2-3 friends each lending you thier 10 lots, you can't keep up with 30k resources per item made alone.

With these types of harvesters you could.

I am a master arch, I have been doing just fine with 10 medium harvesters. I turn down quite a few orders for heavy harvesters, but im am still well off. I am reluctant to build heavy harvesters for other ppl... and other ppl are reluctant to pay my prices for a heavy. So it balances itself out.I dont get too many orders, and I have plenty of stockpiled resources. Your suggestion for an even bigger harvester is simply not needed. We were not meant to be able to mass produce houses single handedly. Slow down and have a little fun. Hire yourself out as an interior decorator. Thereis good money and exp that line of work too.

Actually I work primarally with fruniture. My housing days have dried up. nobody is looking to buy a medium/large house these days it seems, and thoes that are expect to pay 30k for either.

Some people get by on taking smaller orders, thus using smaller minerals. However, your 10 mediums might be doing great for you, but when I have a house and factory on the same account, that cuts my harvesters to 6. now take in 2 power (say fusion) and now I have 4 available slots to harvest resources.

yes it's true i could either a) buy yet another account (I owe two, but the 2nd naritus account is not mine to flddle with, heh) or b) made deals with people over slots, which is a real unfun pain

I just think it would be a welcome achievement for master architects to be able to build something that helps them out, and also to have a reason to be master arch other then making a PA. most arch's these days make it to master, get that PA up, and poof, surrender arch.. NOW if they had these master arch only harvesters, they would consider keeping arch so they can provide a better flow of resources for the guild (where before had he surrendered he'd only have heavies)

Meh, just a thought.

Well, personally, as a non-PA architect, I'd just as soon see those PA sponsored architects drop the skill after building their hall. Less competition for me

Wow hold up on this idea, as an architect you do not want to be using any harvestor that is going to lower the quality of the resources you are mining. You guys need to realize that the reason you crit so much is because you use such **edit**ty resources. If you don't use resources with at least 800 in unit toughness and when doing final combinations using resourses with at least 800 in UT and 600 in DR your going to crit like crazy. I've been filling orders everyday and I haven't had a crit on a final for about three weeks now. Of course I crit every once in a blue moon on furniture but its because with furniture I don't really care about the quality of resource I'm using but when doing all my PA halls and heavy orders I use the best I can get.

Nah, they just need to up ore deposit concentrations to be more realistic.

It should be easy as hell to find ore, while the more exotic alloys (like that ever happens in nature) like steel and aluminum be in smaller concentrations.
