Thread: The Fusion Problem

So I managed to get my first fusion up and running, found a nice 74% spot, was pretty happy about it. after about a day the radioactive shifted. Right now there isn't any radioactive on my planet. NONE. Is this supposed to happen? What's the deal? Am I going to be without radioactive power for an unknown amount of time, or should there be some back before the end of the night? Can someone give me some insight? Thanks.

I am in the same boat.

I am trying to figure if it will be worth it to place it on a different planet to make power for my main planet. Overhead wise it would be terrible for the price of round trip tickets, but if I place it on a planet I go too often to sell houses it may be worth it.

Still going back and forth in my mind and waiting anxiously for the next shift.

So does this mean that there might not be radioactive for a week, do I need to break out the sollars again? Or am I just in the middle of a resource shift? And if I wait the night there will be some back tomorrow or later tonight.

You know, I didnt think aobut that, this last shift was not all at once. There is steel now at my house that was not there yesterday after the shift.

OK, you got me thinking, I am going to survey for radioactives as soon as I get home from work. You can always hope

Radioactive shifts just like every other resource. If this is a resource shift, then you wont see any on that planet till the next one (you hope). I'd pull it up and put it on another planet. You culd make a killing selling power to those people on the planet without radioactives.

Radioactive sometimes can be off a planet for a week and possibly two.

best bet is to go to another planet and plop down a fusion.

In fact playing on at least two planets is probably ideal. The cost is not bad and with the new maint+power savings on harvesters a lot easier to do.

You might also want to coordinate with other players on mapping resources, when they come in, and when they go out.

I usually know within 12 hours how old a resource is on 3 planets and invariably one of those has radioactive.

Alternatively alternate, run some solars this week.

Or even better run both solars and fusions when there is power so you do not have to run power at all next week.

Aye, I harv on two planets, Rori and Naboo, so I don't have but one planet, which is a cheap shuttle ride away, to go for whatever I'm missing. Unfortunately, this hasn't completely worked, as neither planet has carbonate ore and I'm running out....

I'm already noticing the resources shifting more irregularly than before, which I believe was the dev's intent (as annoying as that is). This means that instead of everything disappearing in a day or two, you will theoretically get one or two things moving each day. So while you may be without radioactives for a week, you're more likely to see one appear within a few days, then another pop up a few days later.

I think radioactives might alternate with solid fuel.

In other words, the Devs either nerfed fusion, or the original plan was to have no radioactives from time to time. I can't tell you which, but mybelief is that this has always been like this but most of us never cared about fusion before.

It usualy re-appears after 2/3 days....i alway to keep a stock for the 'change' if not find a cheap suplier oe keep a couple of solars handy to change to for a couple of days.

The 'change' is a fact you just have to work round it.
