Well I have some ideas that have been brought up on the SquadLeader boards. They aren't mine, I wish they were though as they are rather good ones.

Bunkers for SquadLeaders to place during PvP,

Wall to place for instant Fortifcations during Combat or simply so we can channel the enemy thru a setpath under heavy fire all the time, at the bases.

Perhaps you Correspondant will get a better responce than all of our Correspondants since they started out. (Nothing for a response for us so far, especially on the top 5 lists or Sate of the Profession Reports that are sent to the Devs)

I'll also post on the WeaponSmith Board about another idea that going around.

Cool! I actually postulated this very thought, an hour ago, on this very board! ( I guess it was a good idea and not sleep deprivation )

I like this idea, along with the fact that such structures could be damaged/destroyed in combat. It would give Architects something to build, as a consumable, without changing any other deed in the game. Multiple requests could be answered this way.

Ok now for the idea, I hate the enter button when I'm in a hurry. hehe

this idea has been going around on the SquadLeader Boards for a while now, I though you guys and gals might like to hear about it. Perhaps if you start asking for it, we'll get it then (Something new for SL you say, only when the game hits its 5 year mark maybe).

Well the idea is rather simple, Squad Based Weapons.

Simply put a SquadLeader carries the Weapon into Combat then deploys it, it could be manned by the SquadLeader or members from the group, or from NPC that deploy with it.

Think of a MK-19 Automatic Grenade Launcher that we use in the Military right now, or the 240G Machine gun and you have the idea of it.

Would be something new for the WeaponSmith Community to make, and it would really help out any Squad Based units is Combat.

We are missing some of the heavier weapons indeed, like the BlasTech E-WebRepeating Blaster, a tripoded weapon that is good against both vehicles and infantry alike.

It's a 2 man weapon though

Sorry to Bump this But I would like some more inout on what you all think of this idea. Maybe you Correspondant could even take a look and let us SquadLeaders know what he/she thinks.

I think it's a good idea. Anything that is a consumable is good for Architects. We are now the only profession that doesn't have decay on any ofits items, so it would be nice to have something we could make that we could sell to the same customer more than once.

How often it would be used huh?
About as often as I could afford it, I've been in a lot more PvP battle lately. Got a lot of my friends in them to, get invites all the time now that the war is heating up on Tat and Naboo and Dant instead of just Talus.
Ive met several SquadLeaders out there that are into PvP a lot. They would buy these and then use them for Area Denial and then place either Sqaudweapons (If they make them anyways) or Commandos.
Would make attacking a base a lot hard to accomplish thats for certain. Now if you get 4 or 5 good fighters in side the base they can hold it pretty much indefinately once the other players are out of there. With these ideas it would be a lot more dificult to get into the base in the first place.

I really hate bumping my own threads but screw it. I want to hear what you guys have to say about this. It would definatly increase your options when it came to weapons to make and sell. It would create a whole new market as well.

Sounds cool. Maybe it'll get thrown in with the weapon changes.

i like the idea. Some sort of heavy weapon that could do serious damage, but it'd have to be balanced by something like not being able to move. Some sort of stationary mount. It'd need an areaaffect too.Imnotreally sure how you set the certification for it to only work if asquad leader is in the group though.

Heh, well, being an architect with limited rifleman skills, pvp is not top on my list of things to do, though I would love to be involved in a big pvp battle, I have yet to see any, most pvp occuirs when a group of 5 imperials walk into anchorhead and "claim it" with no rebel resistance.

I would also have to agree, its a consummable product which means a renewable customer base, the only problem would be how often a pvp battle ensues where a squad leader would need or want to place one of these structures.
