Item decay issues. I do know the issue of houses needing to be persistent (how would you like missing a week due to a death in the family, or pressing issues at work, or RL biting you in the backend in general, and returning to find the house where you keep all your irreplacible, one time only themepark loot just crumbled? Happened to me once. It's not fun. But Architects are the ONLY class with no consumable items. I got a few ideas, if you'd like to pass them on Tiggs.

One- Interior paint. It would last 30 days flat out, take some water, meat, flora, whatnot. Sensible materials (no Krayt scales please, this loot thing is getting silly). It would just tint the interior walls of your structure the desired color.

Two- Fix the decaying lamps. Nuff said there.

Three- Furniture wear. SMALL decay. like 1% a day, and all you need do is use a furniture repair kit, and good as new (again, make these cheap, or the purpose is defeated, people will just get new furniture)

Also, in relation to this- furniture palettes. And not the wookiee palette either (seriously..our furry pals need some cool colors too already!) but the regular padded, or normal clothing palette. Add a stat for architects, architect customization, like all other artisans.

There, my shortest post ever. Hope it helps some

No I don't have a freakin sig. Just make something up and pretend it's here man. woman. umm...Whatever.

I just hit Master Arch today, but for me so far my biggest issue has been number of lots. Trying to balance keeping factory running while getting the resources needed as well as having a place for storage is quite a challenge (on a single account).

The marketing issues (colors, item decay of some sort) have been hit in posts before me, and many more vocal people will add more from the numerous excellent threads in here with just this subject.

More ways to differentiate between crafter #1 and crafter #131 would add alot to the crafting experience as well as the general gameplay of all, imho.

As former architect (former for a reason), I echo the sentiments on decay. I also propose a very simple solution that would also improve other aspects of the game.

1. Introduce a few new schematics for limited use harvesters that are slightly better than existing heavies.Figure outthe cost/use based on a careful weighing of cost/benefit of lot usage.

2. Add a few schematics for destroyable structures, such as turrets and walls, that architects can contribute to the GCW.

All other crafting professions have decay of some sort on their product, what architects make, even those things with a "Decay" value such as candles, never decay. The expected cpu profit on our indestructible goods is shockingly low compared to other professions (3cpu price for architect goods versus 100cpu price for armorsmith goods) and we have nothing that people will need to come back to us for. Nothing. Once someone purchases a house, harvester, candle, lamp, sofa, etc. It will last forever. People pay 20k for a house or 130k for a harvester and they last forever. People pay 250k for a suit of armor and it lasts for a few weeks of use. Once people have what they need, they will never need an architect ever again.

Additionally, all our products are identical to every other architect's. Furniture coloring or something to customize our products would be welcome.

Now, granted, the maintenance costs on houses and harvesters probably make is impossible for there to be some decay, but the fact remains that if maintained, you will not need an architect again. Something should decay: candles and lamps make the most sense, they even have lifetimes (that don't work).

*** Low-profit, indestructible, one-time purchase items and no customization of anything.

Furniture decay? No thank you. I've got a fully decorated house, and I really don't feel like having to replace the furniture over and over again. It's a pain to get everything placed just the way I want it.

Furniture colorization, on the other hand, that would be excellent.

Harvester decay? Heh. With the sheer amount of resources that go into one harvester, and the cost to buy a good one, maintain it, and keep it running... well, from an end-user point of view any decay should be very very very very slow. Especially for those of us who use them as they are intended, instead of putting up giant "harvester farms", we re-deed them often, when the spawn shifts, only to put them down again later.

Maybe have a "Harvester Vitality" bar that decays only when placed, and can be renewed (100% of the time, to full, no failures) by a "maintenance kit".

Reposted from another thread: I am well aware of the sticky issues threads and the excel sheets that ThunderHeart has. The reason(s) I am doing this is 1. to get to know you, 2. get a better feel about your posting styles and 3. Gather fresh feedback from the community. If you feel like you are repeating yourself then please feel free to opt out of posting in this thread.

1. Furniture color, and new items (there are lots of good furniuture out there, that we can't make yet-like real bars!)

2. reduction of ore requirements, or increase of ore spawn rates

3. harvestors for shell fish, eggs, and milk! (pipe dream i know...)

Yup, decay (or some other sort of repeat biz for architects) is mine main concern as well.

And, since you are visiting the architect forum, can I ask you to verify that the devs are happy with the current rate of resources entering the game? As someone who remembers BER7 heavy harvesters (harvesters that gather 7 units per minute), the current BER13 seems a little high.

Everyone does not want decay, but that is another thread.

I'll keep this brief.

The 3 things I personally see as issuesare:

1. Lack of consumable goods for the profession. As has been mentioned by many fellow Architects, something that bring repeat business to the profession. It can be alterations to an existing product (although I'm not a fan of decayed harvesters, houses or furniture) or something completely new and different.

2. More variety and less 'cookie cutter' schematics that allow for customization. Examples have been provided from Furniture colourization to the ability to renovate or add to existing homes. Need a window added? No problem ... coming right up.

3. And my biggest pet peeve - Corellian homes. I would really like to see the Corellian homes have more substance and style similar to Naboo and Tatooine homes - especially Medium homes. Medium Corellian homes are small, cramped and boring compared to Naboo homes as an example. And make Corellian homes look different than Generic houses.

Those are my thoughts. Thanks!
