Thread: How long did it take you to master Architect?
I just recently got Master Architect and did it grinding walls, I'm just wondering what everyone else did to get master? I'm asking because a few people I play the game with feel I took to long. They also don't realize that without tons and tons and tons of ore and steel it is impossible to master.
I just got it last week and started probably the 3rd week of playing.
It took me a month and a half and I think it was too short,
I mean seriously for me to go from a brand new player to a master of an elite profesion in that short of time was almost silly. I know it is an unpopular position, but I would double the XP requirments for EVERY skill in the game. Not just Architects.
Im not even a power player, my rate of advancment was directly relatedto how fast I could pull materials. With the help of 1 other player letting me use some of his lots it was a cake walk.
Not only that but what we grind, we can sell ( walls ). Architect is in my opinion the 2nd easiest elite profesion to master, after merchant of course, that requires to effort at all.
I just got my first months charge on my Credit card so from Day 1 to day 31 I made Master Artisan / Master Architect / Pistoleer...
Level 50 in Everquest took me 45 days of actual play time from week 2 of game start. This game is way to easy.

From the time I actually decided to become an architect (having had eng 4)to the time I was master was probably about 3 - 4 weeks. Went through furniture first, and grinded through walls to get the xp. Interior design was a great xp+money maker. One PA designed would be twoxp boxes.OnceI made cr, I would spend it right away on resources, and had to take out a loan or two from a friend..or two. Really, the only limiting factorto leveling is the availability to resources - you just use SO much.

Yes,
The only things that slow you down becoming a master architect is Ore, some bulk metal and Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. If it wasn’t for those you could do it in 3 days, maybe less.
( I shouldnt say this, and I dont use it, but I have seen an outside macro program coupled with the internal macro program that would craft non-stop, he was crafing stuff while sitting and wathcing the Simsons in the next room. But that is where I draw the line, the only outside program I use with SWG is Roger Wilco ( voice program ))
about 5 days.. apprenticed for a very busy architect who gave me about 15-20 walls to make a nite, and i used 2 of my rl friends lots and made about 10-15 walls on my own each day from my own harvesters...
It took me just over a month, once I decided that was the direction I wanted to go. I was very lucky, in that I had a very cool Master Architect (Stargazer on eclipse). I met him when I purchased my first two mediums from him.. He agreed to buy wall modules from me, as many as I could crank out. So with that, I was able to turn my grinding into a steady income. During the process of advancing through the architect tree, I went from two mediums and a handfull of personals, and windmills to a fleet of mostly heavies and fusion (as well as a factory, and abundant spending cash) - funded entirely by him buying up my exp grind. Along with that, he kept me trained, gave me really good deals on harvesters, and shared resource locations. Even gave me some of his own stuff to grind from time to time. It worked out really well both ways, I think.
