Thread: For you high volume Architects

I was just curious if you high volume architects have static harvesters from lot trades going, and if so how many?

I currently have 35 static minerals down and 15 fusions down to keep the minerals powered. The statics are constantly pulling up Ore, and the rest of my remaining lots are used for the other various metals and gases that I need. This keeps my resource supply just about where I need it for my volume of sales.

Just curious how the rest of you do it...

What do you consider "high volume"?

I don't personally run statics.

I had some for a little while that were left from old guild mates and someone gave me a field of 10 that they got tired of running, but I'm really to lazy to manage them and gave them away and/or had them accidnetally burn out.

I just prefer to shop around and buy materials when I need them.

Well, high volume for me is running 3 factories full time trying to keep up with harvester sales. And when I say try to keep up, I mean I always want at least 15 of each type on my vendors. I am kind ofwierd that way. I am also opening up a new store, so getting ready for that as well.

I make between 2 -4 mil per week, not as high volume as some, but I do OK. Considering that 1.5 million per month gets dumped back into tose harvesters.

I run around 50 Static Minerals and 8 Static Chems. I have the same issue you do with always wanting something of everything on each vendor. I run three locations with 100+ Heavies of each harv type. Currently working on Building up the same type of stock in Houses/PA Halls Tents Etc... I found that static Fusions are not worth it, With minerals there is always something there 35%+ to collect and with Fusions they often just sit there idle.

One of my Friends(in Game) quit the game and he was running a static opt. He asked me to take over.. so I agreed, so here is what I have

10 medium Floras (Tat)

120 medium Mineral (Tat)

30 medium Mineral (Corellia)

8 medium Flora (Corellia)

7 heavy Water (Corelllia)

5 heavy Mineral with power kits on them (Corellia)

15 medium Mineral (Talus)

5 roaming harvesters that I use to collect different things

I can usually pull in about 3 to 4 million units of a resource (mineral) if I am on a 50% or greater.

i dont do static. like pawlin im to lazy and dont have the time to manage all that stuff.

i usually try and keep around 40 to 60 harvsters on my vendor. thats of all typs. some like mineral or fusion might go lower soemtimes. but i buy all my resources. i just shop around for them. i wont buy grind stuff like steel, ore, copper unless its like 1.5 to maybe 2cpu max.

i just found a guy thats selling probably 15m+ of different kinds of ore for 1cpu and other cheap cheap stuff.

if your going to buy a hint is find someone that sells them cheap and keep buying from them. build a repor(aka relationship) and you never know it could turn out in a good way. i have a good repoor with a few resource dealers and can usually get a good price.

Not sure if I'm necessarily high-volume but I keep one of the best-stocked shops on my server for Shipwright/Architect goods, according to my customers. I try to keep 25 or more of each type of harvester on my vendor. Only heavies right now, but I'll add mediums eventually.

I operate with:

3 characters

17 dynamic harvesters

8 factories (4 structure and 4 equipment)

I've not used lot-swaps yet, but I'm thinking about it.

I buy most of my resources in bulk from regular contacts I've developed in-game and from my guild.

I use my dynamic harvesters to gather current spawns of high-end steels and irons.

you will burn out soon, these harvies are too much spread to properly control 'em. at least 2 hours (using macros) to maintain them every x days, and be carefull of building condemnation..

I've got 9 mobile harvesters and a merchant tent.

Oh, and a few buildings and factories held by (same server) associates.
