The difference isnt 1%, a BER13 isnt 3% better than a BER10.

Way to go SOE, everyone who doesn't make schematics today will be stuck with BER13s for eternity while those who do will get BER14 schems.

To put this in perspective those who are able to replace their fleets with BER14 installations will be able to extract:
Low estimate - on a 50% concentration with 8 mining installations working 20 hours out of 24:
4800 extra resources per day
33600 extra resources per week
146000 extra resources per month
High estimate - on a 90% concentration with 8 mining installations working 22 hours out of 24:
9504 extra resources per day
66528 extra resources per week
289080 extra resources per month

So we're not talking HUGE numbers here, but they are significant in the long term. What do you guys who have made BER14's think? Would you be extremely unhappy if SOE nerfed your BER14's down to BER13's within the next couple of weeks? Should other players be given the ability to make BER14's after the crafting change is reverted? Should things stand as they are and you just get a reward for being in the right place at the right time? Personally I don't expect this to affect me much at all, so I'm not overly bothered. Although it would be nice to be able to create BER14's of my own sometime down the road .

i wish we could have half of this experimentation change.

It seems they fixed the rounding issues that plagued us. I would love to lose the rounding and still only spend 4 EPs on a 40% max resource.

THAT would be ideal...

Look at it this way.

10 BER 13s = 130

10 BER 14s = 140

It's like getting a bonus BER-10 medium for free.

How'd you get a BER 14? I just tried with 100% ore mining units (7 BER) and a 97% final combine. Do you need amazing successes to get it to 100%? did you experiment on your walls?

You will need 100% on finla combine too, 99% will give you BER 13. You will need AT LEAST one amazing success or you have some steel and ore with 1000/1000/1000 HR/SR/UT

What kind of material is required for this?

They shouldn't have implemented this change for one day.

Those of us who can will jump on this and make BER14 schematics. Then everyone else who can't do sois at a disadvantage as long as the BER14's last.

I'm sure the same thing is happening for any other crafting profession that can tweak out an advantage from the 1 day only experimentation change.

I used 100% OMU and Duraiseo steel (994/1000/969 HR/SR/UT) for the Heavy Mineral14 and

100% HHM and Duraiseo steel and Vareuho ore (947/994/972 HR/SR/UT) for the Heavy Flora14.

And obviously it was intended from Sony to divert the community, 10% were pro this patch and 90%con before it went life, now it will like 40% pro and 60% against, just because all the lazy crafter realized they havnt read the board. And now are many Master Crafter pissed, because they are not prepared for this one-day-get-rich-party.

But no worries, I will make only 100-200 of each the 14er. so in four weeks it will be forgotten.

OK i was able to get a BER 14 Heavy Mineral. It took 100% Experiments on both the ore mining unit and the final combine.

Those of you who can build 14s, how about doing the rest of us a favor and charge premium prices for them? I'd rather not see my 13s suddenly become worthless.

I might see about making some 14s, but I just don't have the resources availble during this short window to produce much.
