Thread: BER 10 Medium Pricing
I have read through alot of Architect posts and have found a pretty solid agreement on pricing except for the BER 10 Mediums.I am going to charge 60,000 on Valcyn. I used to buy BER 4 Mediums at 10,000 and BER 10 Heavies for 100,000 so I am trying to split the difference. I just want some feedback to see if this is a fair price and not undercutting

Price them for whatever you can sell them for. Personally, I price the max rate harvesters at 4 cr / unit (rounded up to nearest 1000), which means I sell BER 10 medium minerals for 15,000 credtis. Of course, I also have schematics with max BER made for all harvesters, so I just load the schematic in the factory and don't worry about criti fails.

Well i like to leave a little room in there for the BER 8 and 9 not only for myself but other architects as well, maybe resources will go bad. Anything could happen, a big PA is pricing them at 20k for a 10. Another that is using a factory to produce around 40 at once is selling for 30k for BER 10. I price mine at 30k for the 10 25k for the 9 and 20k for the 8 - i don't believe there is a market for any lower. Resources seem stable at 3cpu, although if you hunt hard enough 2cpu can be had in low quanities. My market is expanding in a new direction and repeat business is picking up, because i never let a customer down, offer to deliver and will trade back any item for an upgrade.
I am also on Valcyn and I am charging 27.5k. I am also charging 17.5k for BER 9's...
so thats what i'll be charging for them when i restock.
So if they are flying off the vendors then clearly your customer feel like they are an excellent value for the money at that price.
And no wonder - a BER10 harvester on a 60% concentration will dig up 8,600 units a day. If they are selling for 2.5 cpu then they completely recover the sales price of 30-75K within 2-4 days.
If they broke down in 30 -40 days they would be excellent value for money.
Since they never break down, they are a give away, but try telling the customer that, most just want cheap.
They need to break down, need repair above that of the current maintenance, and need to decay with time.
I been selling my for 65k-60k for my BER's. It took a few days, but it wasn't long before I had people sending me E-mails on when I was going to restock my vender.
