I'll admit it. I'm lazy. I haven't figured out what the pricing should be on the new experimented harvesters and the new city structures.

I figure someone's done themath already.

Anyone want to post suggested pricing?

How much did you charge for your non Exp. harvs. I don't raise my prices on them, cause it doesn't cost extra money to make them. I find I sell a lot more this way. As for city structures.......You got me, no one wants to buy them so I don't price them.

I've done this up to this point, but recently i'm finding myself being very busy and frustrated. Why? to make 4 ber 13 heavy harvestors, it'll take at least 6 attempts. Thats using high end kits, tools, and resources. It never fails the first 2 go good, then the next 2 crap on experimentation. usually leaving me with 2 10-12s.

This means i've got to do almost twice as much work for my customers just to give them the 13s. Its jst very frustrating. So i'm starting to adjust my pricing accordingly. A BER 11 or 12 is now the prior standard cost with a 13 costing an additional 10-15k.

This is why until CF's get fixed, I will make all heavies via my factory.

4 out 6? Your % is much better than mine has been!

My sugguestion is to price it as high as you can while still delighting your customer with a price lower than he expected to pay.

That is the tricky part. And to me, the most important part of being a supplier of any class.

BER10 mediums - 100k

BER13 heavies - 300k

BER14 fusions - 130kl

Sell em all day long and worth every penny.

One more thing,

When making a 13 BER harvestor, I use the following path.

Only experiment the Ore Mining unit 2 steps at a time, same with the final unit. This seems to get the best resouts for me anyway.

The when you get a full blown 13 BER harvestor, bite the bullet and make it a schematic.

Then you never fail again until you have used up your components and resources. I alwasy plan to loose 1 full machine to make a schematic, then never worry about loosing a machine again.

Price accordingly, I sell 13 BER heavy harvestors as if they were my old 10 BER heavy harvestors but charge then for one more than they ordered. They order 6, I charge them for 7 ( one as a schematic )

Of course I dont tell them that, I just divied my standard price forone 10 BER harvestor into the number of the order ( so far always 5 or more )

Hence if I soldthe old10BER heavy for 100kthen 5 of the 13BER heavies would sell for 120k each ( same as 6 of them at 100k )

Delights the customer with a low price, and balances your loss of one making a schematic.

Btw RicFlair, not all arch's price simply by CPU, a lot of us have moved over to pricing by the value of the product, particularly in the case of experimented harvesters. But there are still some using the old method of pricing...

I can only hope we can get the rest of the archs out there to do the same...

I was using 100k and 120K as an example. My price for them fluctuates depending on how many they order.

And yes, using very good materials, and only experimenting 2 points at a time, Using a 14.98 crafting tool and a 39.8 crafting station, I can usually get the schematic made with a minimum of loss. ( I have lost a couple of Ore mining units, but have yet to fail making that first full 13 BER machine schematic

I never price by CPU. I price based upon the avarage going rate for a unit on my server. I make sure I am a good 20% or more less than the going rate.

There are some mayors out there that don't have resident Architects. I do no advertising, and have sold a hospital and quite a few harvesters, as well as streetlamps, (they work in houses btw) and statues.

If you want to boost your lamp and statue sales, just donate some to cities or well known merchant folks. When people see the item they ask who made it, then talk to you.

I sold the hospital for 300k...that's roughly about 8 cpu. As more cities grow you will see a demand for these city strutures, as many cant even place one yet. Still a strong demand for houses, (which I refuse to make hehe unless the price is right) I sold 10 naboo smalls for 400k ...a little high yes, but they needed them in 30 minutes.

Also, folks still want rate 10 heavies, mine sold for 50k ea, as med 10's go for 60k. I'm on Ahazi btw.

If you're looking to boost your sales, the demand is out there. Also, gifting things to well known establishments typically yields 3 regular customers per thing gifted from word of mouth, (And I'm a miner for goodness sakes, but I won't turn folks away if I can make it).

BER13's at 300k??? I'm amazed. Maybe I should raise my prices...

... and on the rate of getting BER13's... took me 15 tries to get 10 using BER4 units (in the high 80's experimentation) and 900+ resources on final craft, and HAD to hit 90% experimentation - 89% made me a BER12. Overall, out of 15, I got one 9, one 11, three 12s, and ten 13s.

Save those high quality minerals for when you REALLY need 'em!

Coming into this thread late due to massive problems getting into the forums...at any rate here goes regarding my price matrix for harvesters.

Personals All: Rate 2 through6, 200 cr increments starting at 400for a rate 2. Rate 7 and up are 1500.

Mediums: Rate 4were selling more or less at 30,000 but recently Ive dropped them to 10,000 andthey are selling out. Rate 5's start at 30,000 and go up in 5000 cr increments up to rate 11.

Heavy : Fusion Generators rate 9 at 135,000, then 10000 cr increment up to a 16. Although the highest Ive been able to make to date is a 15!

Chem Deep Crust Rate 9 at 140,000, then 5000 cr increments up to a 16. Highest Ive been able to produce to date is 13.

Heavy Mineral: Been building 12's pretty consistantly with an occassional 13!

All Materials in the 985 to 993 range for required material attributes, structure tools are +14.94 and craft stations are +45.7.
