As i didnt see it in the stickied thred, and dont want to search deep into the boards =/
I know that good harvestors and crafting sations need really good resources
but I was wondering if I needed to buy high quality resources as well for houses and furniture and the like, or if you only need the high quality for the above mentioned items.

Nope.
Save your money and use the cheapest, most substandard materials you can find for houses and furniture.
The customer will never know the difference!

I would say, the only good resources needed (as youalso say)are for the harvesters, some harvester subcomponenets (OMU) Ore Mining Units and for the crafting stations.
Overall, you'llmostly needcrap ore, steel/metal and aluminum.
Furniture is made from crap alum.
All building structures houses/factories are made from crap ore and crap steel/metal (for structural mods and walls) too.
Good luck in Arch

I was in the beta 3 group, but didn't have the dough to buy the game and subscribe, so I had to stop playing. I love dthe game though, so I always knew I'd play it again. Here I am finally, a year and a half later. Now, all I want to do is play as a Jedi. I don't want to buy someone else's account however. I remember form the beta that you couldn't pick Jedi as your profession, has that changed? If not, is becoming a Jedi still totally random, or is there a way to get "noticed" by The Force or something? I've been rading through a lot of posts here, I don't understand most of what people are talking about, I'm such a noob to SWG.

the stick'd threads at the top of the forum will help you, read the force sensitive threads, that will tell you what you have to do to become jedi now.

18 weeks is the bare minimum for being an iniate Jedi.
That does not include :
Getting a master profession to grind with
Grind time if you take more then 3 weeks to grind 36 mill XP

clicky. it says everyting on how to be a jedi. He is correct though, the new system is bogus and it will take 18 weeks minium to be a jedi. For when u understand this, i suggest combat prowess 0044, enhanced reflexes 4400, heightened senses 0004, crafting mastery 0040.

Basically you'll need badges (POI, Themepark, Warren and some extra) to get glowie. Check the sticky threads fore more info on this.
Then when you are glowiean old man will visit you, he'll give you a crystal which you must protect, two sith shadows try to take it, you'll kill them, you'll loot a datadisk with a waypoint, at that waypoint there is a camp, you kill the shadows there and get a waypoint to aurilia on Dathomir.
In that village you'll need to do quests in order to unlock force sensitive skills. There are 4 phases and each last about 3 weeks, with the 1st phase following after the 4th. You can only unlock one FS skill per phase so you'll need to do at least 6 missions which will take at least 15 weeks before you are eligible to become a jedi initiate. (more info on the phases, the quests, force sensitivity and how to get FS XP in the stickies)
Then you need to kill Mellicae, a wannabe sith with a lightsaber, in order to be eligible for the padawan trials.
Then you do some missions, kill some creatures and you're a noob jedi with a training saber.
Then you need to grind jedi XP which will take very long cause you can't wear armor and your damage outputis very low cause of that crappy saber and the animals give very little XP and hurt a lot and bounty hunters willhunt and kill you.
Then after about10 months from now you'll have a pvp capable jedi

So basically you're telling me it's going to take like 4 months, real life time, like it'll be april/may 2005, before my new character gets out of that village? But then it's going to take me probably like four months of real life time to even get to the point where I can even attempt any of this? So by this time next year, I'll be a Jedi noob who gets his @55 handed to him by bounty hunters huh? If I get killed by a bounty hunter, am I dead for good, or do I get cloned or whatever it's called in this game? Do I have to pay PvP as a Jedi? Thanks for taking time out for a noob!
