Thread: Factory Problem

Just wondering if anyone else is having a problem with their factory not being able to operate it. I only get 2 options under the option menu, one for the ingredients hopper and one for the output hopper. No input schematic or start factory. The maintanence is paid and there is sufficient power but still no way to add a schematic or turn the thing on. Just curious to know if I am alone in this or others are having similar problems?

Sorry of this has been explained before but


i have a wearables factoy. ive been using it for about 3 weeks, to make my fiberplast panels and armrweave segments, and even 10 - 15 count factory crates of armorweave. for the last 2 weeks i have also been using it to create Chitin Segments. Last night, after it finished a run of Armorweave segments, i tried a run of Fiberplast panels. It Stopped after 2 miutes, and sucked the resources for 1 panel, but nothing was in the hopper. I tried everything i could think of, including making a new schematic, reducing the number of items the schematic can make, changing resources on the schematic, etc. Then a friend told me i should try to redeed, That worked. It made the fiberplast panels, and then it made some synth cloth for me.


Now today i tried to make some chitin segments. Same thing as last night, it sucked the resources and wont produce anything. What the hell. I cant keep redeeding this **edit** factory every time i want to use it. Am I doing anything wrong, or is there a known workaround?

The workaround is to redeed. This is a know issue, and it's the reason why there's no cost to redeed factories ATM.

I ran into this problem today.


I have 2 factories right next to each other.


In one of them I was running 1000 Small Structure storage modules, the factory stopped producing after 800something, even though there was clearly enough material left if wouldnt make more.


The hopper was only half full, I removed the shem put it back in, I removed the resources put it back in.


Nothing would work.


I put the same thing in the other factory and all ran fine.


Power and maintenace was payed in heaps on both.


Anyone ever encountered this??

Yep, several times. Did you get an email message about a "manufacturing error" with a number? I did the same thing you did - moved the schematic and resources over to the other factory and it ran fine. The first factory ran fine the next day.

One thing to look for is full output hopper. I know that you said you checked, but I've had cases where it barfed when the hopper only had 80 items in it. I also seem to notice it more when I have Ore Mining Units in the output hopper. I'm also wondering if we *are* seeing a "storage capacity" limit (on factories) that counts not only the number of items (like in your inventory), but a *total* number after expanding the numbers in the crates?

The factories are on across trade so no Email.


But yes, I have Ore mining units in the output hopper and it was filled to about 60 items at the time.


I will have an eye on that

I think that this problem clears during the daily server reset.

the only work around for the error e-mail bug is to lift the factory and place it again.. so i hope you kept records on your x server trade..



well its the only work around that i know of... cs prolly wont help you because you dont own the factory.

I know we mentioned the Factory bug of factories shutting down. And some of us have mentioned factories getting "full" far below the storage capacity. But I noticed over the week end that ALL my factories are now shutting down error 7, and ALL my factories are full between 62-66% capacity. This happening to anyone else? Currently, I have no factory Clothing, Structure, Food or Equipment that I can run for more than a few hours at a time before it shuts down. And if you look at my sig, you'll see I make LOTS

My factories are doing something similar.. They stop after a while and wont make anymore unless I remove some items from it... I hope they fix it soon.

Ohhh and becareful with this because i finally figured out a little bit after getting these erros that when you get that error 7 thing it actually makes the item. it just doesn't go into the hopper. so your loosing the items it takes to make it from the ingredience hopper and the schematic. I lost 9 heavy mineral harvesters with that error in a run of 100 i did. now i remove the schems when i can so it doesn't happen as often. They need to fix this ASAP..I hate when they let something go that isn't giving an advantage for 4-5 months.IF this error had produced a double itme in the hopper giving you a free one.. it would have misteriously been fixed withing a few hours.

This 60-70% hopper capacity shutdown has been confirmed now on 52 factories on Corbantis.
