before falming pleaes understand that i have already searched the forums for this and couldn't find my answer. here is the problem: my factories won't start. it says station activated but then it stops without making any items. after many many times of schematic switching and other things i might get it to work, but it makes like 75 items and it stops again. any solution to this? yes my factory has maintenance and power and all the ingredients are there. any help is appreciated. thanks

Weird, either way, try emptying out the output completely. The important thing is to get that factory working, even if it means having to empty to ingredient every so often. Also, try posting in the artisan and merchant boards, you may also want to try the doctor and combat medic boards since they use our facotries as well.

Well, just so we are clear.

1. You deposited the power just as you would maintenance correct? I had a friend think you just needed it to be in the ingredients hopper so that is why I ask.

2. After you add the schem take a look at the "ingredients required" radio. At the same time open up the ingredients.

Go through each time one by one and make sure you all the right things in there. Some things to look for:

A. Make sure the Type (name) of the resouces is correct. For example, don't dont just think that if you have lok wheat is in there it will work it needs to be the exact same lok wheat.

B. Make sure any subcomponents being used have the correct schem number. This is where I often get bonked. I will forget and name the schem the same name for multiple runs of subcomponents and then not notice when I go to make the final product. I now add the first two letters/numbers of the schem as part of the tital of the schem.

3. Once you start the factory double click on it the factory. It should say the number of items made is 0 and give you the time for each item to be made. Wait that amount of time and then double click on it agian and see if the first item has been made.

I am willing to wager that your issue is that one of your sub components has the same name but is in fact from a different schem than the subcomponent that you used to make your final product.

Ive noticed two things that attribute to this type of non-activity for factories.

1) your outputh hopper has 70 items or more in it. For some reason your factory will stop short of finnishing.

2) if your factories are in a player city this will happen occationally at random times. And will happen all the time if your factories are on the boarder of a player city.

these are the only times this problem has affected me.

I agree with the assessments made by my esteemed colleagues.

The only thing I would also suggest is that you should have received an email that indicates what ingredient the factory ran out of. That will help you narrow down your search to find the missing stuff. Be sure to validate the serial numbers for those items, as Marrow suggested.

while on Flurry, don't visit Ojes Yobe's Liquidation Vendors just 800M from Theed starport on Naboo (neg5219 3419) - cause they ain't there anymore! They are now exclusively located in Mos Athens Mall

Reason 1) makes sense to me now as of late, as both of my factories both stopped two times during the last two days. Emptying out the output hopper some let it run again though, thankfully.

Are you getting a mail from the factory saying "Internal Manufacturing Error"?

If you are, you are experiencing one of the very annoying parts of being Chef - Constantly bugged factories.

There's no way around it but to either:

Redeed the factory

Wait for server to reboot/crash

Sending a ticket to a CSR will yield the same reply. My factories are bugging like this after just 2-3 runs of anything. And if they're not placed on your lots like some of my factories aren't. Then you're screwed.

I started doing this.. Got so confused looking at schems entitled SDS 72 / ACRM 64 / ABEC 22c/15p(etc) i decided to use the serial as the title.. at a glance you can immediately see what's what.

SDS 72

SDS 72

SDS 72

SDS 72

SDS 72

SDS 72

or

SDS 72 (ry387sc)

SDS 72 (ry387sc)

SDS 72 (ry387sc)

SDS 72 (a21kdlka)

SDS 72 (a21kdlka)

SDS 72 (a21kdlka)

Life became so much easier..

ive still managed to lose my first lot of things from output hopper, no buffs as yet, luckily,..... just 1000 Abec's
