Hi, I know that this probably isn't a chef related error, but an error for factories in general. However since I was running chef food through it I figured I would ask here if anybody has gotten this error before and how to fix it.
I get an e-mail with the text of:
@system_msg:manf_error_7
I was running 1000 dough through my factory and it produced 750 and then it stopped and gave me this error. Any subsequent attempts to turn the factory back on have resulted in this error (as well as the factory eating an amount of resources for the attempt.
So does anybody know a solution to this problem? Thanks!

I have had this prob. Empty the output hopper some and turn it back on. Seems the factory hopper is bugged.

Is there a set hopper item value that it stops at? Like I cannot have more than 50 items in there or I will get the error?

My hopper is 82% full (yeah, I'm messy IRL too) ... got the error, took a few things out, the factory worked again. Seems to me it's just a point of shifting things in the output hopper to get it to work again.

The developers are aware of this problem and working on a fix, by the way.

On a more general note, do you think it would be beneficial to us if we created a user database of these bugs, which we users would be able to use as a point of reference when discussing issues such as this?
Ie. when you get such an email, you could search for the error string, and find out what this bug signifies and how to work around it.

Funny, isn't it. If february the dev's were aware of and working on this problem. It's still there. I wouldn't mind it so much if factories were a privilege, but seeing as they are essential in the crafting of all the popular chef foods, I must say that I am becoming increasingly irate about logging in to 6 factories that all suffer a bug and have stopped after 200, rather than the 1k I was expecting.
All due respect to the correspondents, but it most be a plum job. You never have to update the issues cuz nothing gets fixed.
We've lived with this silly error for over six months; please fix them. If you do, I promise to stop making fun of your barrels. Really. Thank you so much for those barrels, they are hilarious. (Funnily, my factory didn't suffer any errors whatsoever, when I made 1000 buggy items).

I've had this problem with factories when they're output hopper is at 80% +/-5% full. All you can do is remove some items from the output hopper and restart.

I know that fix. The point is that they shouldn't stop with a 50 or 60% full hopper at all but do and that's another thing nothing's being done about.

Hmm....I wonder if Architects experimenting on hopper size has anything to do with this error? It's widely been assumed that experimenting on hopper size did nothing but what if in fact it does effect the hopper size in a hidden way and that's why it seems to max out lower than it should?

Imho there is a significant relationship between the experimented hopper sizes of the factories. got 5 factories and only the 2 of them ever gives this error. I figured ou t that when the output hopper is full %90 or something close i get this error. Interestingly one of my factories made by a novice architect never gives me this problem.
Most annoying part of this error is you lose the component and resources when it gives this error and it gives me a headache when i find the factory in the morning it is stopped in the middle of the process .
My advice is to keep the output hoppers around %70-80 max (this is enough most of the time , i can keep a full run of alchol and dough in the hopper)
