I built a harvestor as soon as I made engineer 3. I found out that there is more to makin cash mining than just placing the machine quickly enough. So, I have this one harvestor that has been sitting around for a couple of days. The maintenance fees are more than I am willing to pay to save this thing. I wouldn't care to pa them and sell the deed because it is a lower quality product than I could make now.

If I just let it go will it eventually destroy itself and allow me to recover that deed slot?

Just destroy it and build another. You can destroy it by clicking on destroy, and then clicking on destroy again within 30 seconds.

Why didn't I think of that?

If I turn off the harvestor will it cease needing maintenance?

Still needs it wether its getting a resource or not, this is why you need to be ready for resource changes cuz your money will burn while your harvester is doing nothing

As a novice artisian, can i use anything larger than a personal chemical extractor. I only have business skills in the tree, but was hoping to do a little extraxtion myself to cut costs. What is the largest harvestor I can use and what skills do i need to get to the bigger harvestors. Thanks in advance.

If i place a harvestor do i get surveying xp for it when it is working?

No.

If a harvestor is shut off, either from a resource switch or loss of power, will its maintainence still continue to decay?

Yes. Maintenance always runs down.

But just so you know, it only consumes power when it's actively harvesting.

Can NPCs (people, creatures, etc.) attack Harvestors?

Essentially, Can I put Harvestors down on Yavin $ and not have to worry about anything destroying my investment?
