1. We need to actually see them working on fixing bugs that hinder our gameplay and that are constant annoyances (or worse) to us.
2. Equally important is that we need to see that they actually *LISTEN* to the players. In a way this one is even more critical to me at least. I'm a software architect and developer - I understand the types of tradeoffs that go on here, and now some things may not be as easy to fix as they might appear on the surface, so I'm willing to give folks the benifit of the doubt. However, looking back over all of the "top 5", "10 questions", "requests for comments" etc that have gone on for nine months, I have started giving up hope that the concerns of the players are being heard at all. So I'd like to see some action on these as proof that there is a working communication channel to the developers. Right now I honestly don't think we have a viable communication channel.
well to be blunt....much of what i have seen from this team is sloppy and half assed...
Agree - some of this stuff has been broken for way to long (some have always been that way). One problem is that the temptation must be there for SOE to say "well, they have lived with it this far, why bother fixing it" and they go off and work on new stuff to bring in new players to replace old players who have quit in disgust or despondance (or more likely both).
Finding it increasingly hard to fire up the factory these days and only work on Architect when I feel like it or someone slings me an order (which is getting rarer and rarer in these final days before the grind goes away).
Some of the things that have been let go, have I think been let go for way too long and will never get resolved. And then when they do give us a ray of light, they took it away from us all after a single day
.
This gets my support, as stated abovethere are things on a few of the lists we compile that are clearly broken, or at least do not function as we believe they should, the devs have heard of these before so these should come as no surprise to them. The one stipulation I would make is let's try to get time spent on fixing meaningful things. There are things that are broken that IMO are not really detracting significantly from the gaming experience, whilst other are, so let's get the REAL issues dealt with, then maybe we can move on to the new stuff we want.
This probably won't be a popular statement buthonestly, does harvester anime really matter to most of us ? This should be championed by Merchants or somebody who really uses Harvesters in their business (would be miners if that profession still existed). On the other hand the OMU issue, whether it is a bug or not, NEEDS to be addressed as it is an Architect only issue.
That's my 2 cents worth.
I fully support this approach - make at least one of the top 5 a request for something new, but put the primary emphasis on broken issues.

This is a great idea, but to make all architects happy (just thinking ahead).
3 out of 5 of the top 5: already in game items that need to be fixed.
The other two: New things to be added.
Cant wait to see the OMU's in crates (maybe we should be able to crate the already made ones)
the "Dev"'s that we need these issue fixed A.S.A.P. and then we will gladly talk about new content and ways to improve gameplay.
Yet again my 0.02c.... Sorry about the break but my computer is doing wacky things to day!

Well today is a good day .... I ordered all the hardware for me to build a new cpu.. I am going to see what 2 1/2 pounds of gun powder will do to my old cpu this weekend for all the stress it caused me this last half a month..
This is what I think I would like to submit to the devs as our Official Top Five Response.. what do you think....?
