Thread: Gardens
Did anyone save the pictures of the city gardens that were posted on the main website a few weeks ago? Maybe posted them to another site? I followed a link I had for them and it doesn't seem to be there now just a generic blank blue box for content. With no guidelines in game as to what the cities look like would be nice to have those. I tried to search the swg site for it and it's either buried or removed.

If your looking for a Real Life answer, City Gardens are usually politically motivated. Politicians approve City Beatification because it makes the community “feel better”. It gives a Norman Rockwell warm and fuzzy to voters.
If SWG were to follow this RL scenario into MMORPG, gardens would provide some sort of HAM bonus for the Cities citizens, offset taxes as an artificial way of showing citizens appreciationfor living in such a wholesome environment, provide a haven for meatlumps and thugs to rob visitors after dark, give slicers a place to sell their illegal drugs, and spawn small blue creatures the homeless can kill and eat.

I disagree, gardens IRL have several purposes. They attract birds which eat bugs and they feed the lil hummingbirds. And some other good stuff like process carbon dioxide and give of oxygen.
(Thats my half serious answer)
Of course, no mention about the real answer.Gardens are made strictly for enjoyment or food. Not for birds to eat bugsor concerned individuals about the planet's oxygen levels. **edit** hippies.
