Ok.. a member of the Droid Engineer Community sent me a PM asking me what I felt would be benificial to the Architect Profession in the way of Droid Modules that could be added to Droids..
Personally I have my Droid with the crafting station... ( which I bought finally a week or so ago.. I dont know why the heck i waited over a year lol.. they sure are handy... ) I buy Resources so I dont need the survey or maitenance droids.
So. I will ask you guys what kind of droid would aid us in our profession.?

Currently the maintenance droid only pays cash maintenance. It does not handle power (unless I'm confused). If they could make it so that the maintenance droid would also add power to harvesters then that would be pretty handy.
Not really specific to architect but thats all I can think of.

Existing droids, I love my crafting station droid as it makes me able to make stuff without needing to go to my workshop, and I got as many storage droids as I can, all filled with either ore or other resources when I've gone shopping, or with new stuff when I'm stocking my vendor. I am pretty sure a combat droid would help me cleaning the are around my factories whenever theres mobs there. But I havent got one, since they dont have storage capabilities
Also droid chassises are great as far as interior decorating goes.
As for anything new, LARGER STORAGE droids is wanted. Also it would be cool with a production droid with limited factory capabilities, maybe able to makesay 10 crates/items (100 couches or 10 Ore Mining units
whatever you need done fast)

Use Power Droids or BLL to add power to Harvesters/Factories (they can also hold a mant module so this takes care of that)
Use BLL to reduce factory times, do this by making them an option in the schematic like Protocol/Shuttle Port, or make them so they can bind to the factory. If the latter is chosen they then need to allow you to have 2 droids out so you can bind a Power droid to the BLL
Add a medical droid as an option to the Hospital so that you can have a stim despenser or just to increase automatic heal times when there is no doctor
Add the option for a BLL to the house and increase storage by 50 items
Add the Protocol to Merchant Tents for add barking or something
Have the droids have modifier atributes to each class at Master Level
Make a Warehouse that requires a BLL Droid and can store many items per lot required
Just random off the top of my head no thought put into it ideas...

An overall survey/sample dedicated droid would be a nice addition.
Using the data gained from Interplanetary Survey Droids the droid will be able to draw a 1 unit core sample of all resources found by the survey droid. You can then select any of the samples and send the droid out to identify the 3 highest concentrations in XXXXm radius. It will define them regardless of terrain, which would still leavehand surveying as the more effective way to survey. You can also have the droid continuously sample a single spot (BER 1-5 depending on quality of module used) for as long as its battery power allows and you remain on the planet. This spot can be over water or any terrain the droid can travel. Something that makes better use of the survey droids and provides some ease to the sample/concentration search would be useful to nearly all crafters.
A Creature Harvestables sampling module and/or survey droid would be nice.
Binary Load Lifters able to hold 50-100 items would be divine.
A droid that can deposit maintenance and power would be awesome as well. Lets get it to empty harvesters while we're at it.
Let me be able to get the status of my harv. by asking my droid as well as waypoints in case I accidently delete them.
Combat droids that are more than a speedbump to a Semi-tough NPC would be welcome.
A mini factory droid that can make up a factory crate to handmake an item that requires an identical item.
A repair droid that by using required resources from a schematic repairs an object with few blemishes every time. The blemishes would come from difference in resource quality used between the original crafting and the repair. If better or equal resources are used repair is 100%. Loot components would not be required for successful repair, just the original resources.
Droids that can slice terminals. After the smuggler revamp of course.
Droids that can deliver items or data to another player.
Give the droids with personality chips a personality. Surely they can at least have some kind of programmed response to different stimuli, much like the other NPCs in the game. If a player targets my droid and Says "hello, greet, hi" or uses a /greet or /wave emote let my droid respond. I want my sassy med droid to say "Why I never..." when someone gives it a /rude gesture or /curses it. Maybe give them a few emotes of their own. The only time my droid talks is if I ask him to or if he is in battle. Take it further.
The means to bind a droid to a house instead of a player would be cool too.

One suggestion that someone posted here long long ago was to be able to add a droid module to a harvester, either at build time or later. By adding the module it would send you email *immediately* (or a close approximation of immediately
) if:
- maintenance ran out
- power ran out
- hopper filled
- resource shifted away
That's it - no extra "control" - but status.
I believe the original suggestion was that only heavies would have the capability to have this added.

heya, just got my own little guy with crafting stations following me round now. What would work for me, is:
- the maintaince droid allowing power adn money to be dropped in to harvs.
- BLL models being allowed to empty harvesters and deliver to a set point like a factory.
- droids/droid modules being dropped into the harv schematics so that we can get a status report if certain conditions are met (low power, low maintaince, resource runs out,)
- droids being allowed to assist in factory runs to reduce time on the items (BLL's on structure factories, maybe R2's on weapon and other types)
- the first option on the droids radial to be call so we can short cut the little b****r's instead of using the datapad.

I Love droids.
I have 5, 2 combat, 1 pure crafter and 2 storage.
I have used, on occasion, the survey droid.
Things I would like added.
-Power Module
-Droid Module that communicates with harvesters (i.e. status of operation)
-How about a BLL (which there is no current use for in game) that fetches you factory crates, or as someone else sugested a mini factory.

Well it seems to me that in helping the DE's we are indeed helping ourselfs,
so it would be stupid not to help you out
And in that regard, it would be nice to have a droid with a (upgraded) station module ie. like the
one most of us crafters have in our homes/workshops , meanin fx. a Structure and furniture station 42+ ect...
and I'd deffenetly also support the DLL Factory module...

Ohh I just thought of one.
Renovation droid
A droid that lets an Architech change the style of an empty building to another building of the same general type and size. Small house to other small houses, guild halls to guild halls. It would probably have to have charges or suck up a lot of resources each time but it would be so cool.
I can see it now. Pull out the droid, program the new look, fill the droid's input hopper with the required materials and set the droid to work. Scaffolds go up, the door locks and 15 min later the house has been set to the new look.
My PA has a Tatooine city hall but the rest of the city is naboo style. It would be wonderful if we had some way of converting it to match the rest of the city.

I finally acquired my first crafting droid...and wonderlike I've heard from so many others - "Why didn't I do this earlier!". Hereis my two cents on additional droid variances:
I think that a factory module for the BLL would be a dream come true.
A delivery function on any model (most appropriately the survey or seekers) where you culd direct the droid to seek out the recipient and pre-grant access permissions to the storage module (or item within).

I think that a factory module for the BLL would be a dream come true...not to mention making them a viable droid.

This coudl have ramifications for many professions...imagine having a droid deliver brandy right to your waiting cantina customers
power/maint deposit feataures are almost a must-have.
On a related note, can we get some real purpose for the droid detection devices?
