Thread: What Sells??
Obviously some furniture items sell better than others. I sell a lot of torches, street lamps, and data terminals.
Thank you all for your great input!! Anything else you can think of? I only have up to 4-3-0-4 so I dont have the ability to make the guild halls and stuff in the x4xx box. Too bad we are limited on skill points I would love to have master architect as well! Speaking of which, I was thinking about dropping some stuff so i can finish off the rest of Architect, or maybe just x4xx. Heres my template so far and i have 1 remaining skill point:
Master Artisan
Master Merchant
Master Tailor
Architect 4-3-0-4
Any suggestions as to what I should drop? Im torn cause I love tailor and it seems master is where the good stuff comes in. Also I would need the survey tree on Artisan cause I harvest a lot of my own resources. Maybe Ill make a schematic for a few dozen swoops then drop master artisan and the xx4x part of artisan tree. That should prolly do it i would think? Cant drop any merchant cause I like the reduced maintnance fees and need all the vendors I can get, also since im tailor and rely on people to be able to see my work, I need to be able to play dress up on my vendors. Is there anything else I may be able to drop that is not that important? Guess I should take a careful look at my tree and decide.

Sorry! The advertising tree. You get your vendors on the planetary map...which since vendor search has been introduced isn't quite as important as it used to be. Tho some would disagree
Yeah, I'm one of them...
So I'd recommend Merchant 3404. You get the planetary map, all your efficiency short of master (including the ability to place merchant tents), and lots of vendors. For a tailor, you might feel like it doesn't work because you can't display your wares (you wouldn't have the Hiring line, including Hiring IV: Uniforms), but I personally am skeptical of how much difference it really would make. After all, you can't actually designing clothes; much like architect, your clothes look the same as everyone else's.
In my guild mall where I host seven vendors, it's against management policy to switch on barking so I was able to get rid of that tree. In terms of planetary advertising, I had it for a while and eventually dropped that too and never really noticed a huge difference in sales.
I mastered artisan, although the Engineering tree is the only tree required for architect. At the same time, however, I found that I was much more independent if I just mastered artisan...a lot of artisan subcomponents go into structures and so forth and I didn't want to have to pester others to make schems for me.
So the template that I've ended up with is Master Artisan, Master Architect, Master Droid Engineer and 0-0-4-4 of the Merchant template. This way, I can drop a variety of vendors, don't have to worry about maxing out my vendors, and I can dress them up any way I want.
