Thread: What Sells??
I'm Master Architect, Master Tailor, Master Artisan, Merchant 4004 (I think) and really enjoy it. I've found mastering Tailor, Artisan and Architect more useful than keeping Master Merchant. If you have a large shop, you can still drop outfits and hang them on the wall, and such. If you don't need the extra vendors, it's not worth the skill points to be master merchant (at least not for me). Just my .02.

Thank you all for your great input!! Anything else you can think of? I only have up to 4-3-0-4 so I dont have the ability to make the guild halls and stuff in the x4xx box. Too bad we are limited on skill points I would love to have master architect as well! Speaking of which, I was thinking about dropping some stuff so i can finish off the rest of Architect, or maybe just x4xx. Heres my template so far and i have 1 remaining skill point:
Master Artisan
Master Merchant
Master Tailor
Architect 4-3-0-4
Any suggestions as to what I should drop? Im torn cause I love tailor and it seems master is where the good stuff comes in. Also I would need the survey tree on Artisan cause I harvest a lot of my own resources. Maybe Ill make a schematic for a few dozen swoops then drop master artisan and the xx4x part of artisan tree. That should prolly do it i would think? Cant drop any merchant cause I like the reduced maintnance fees and need all the vendors I can get, also since im tailor and rely on people to be able to see my work, I need to be able to play dress up on my vendors. Is there anything else I may be able to drop that is not that important? Guess I should take a careful look at my tree and decide.
Just to chime in on what sells.
I clearmin 2 million to 10million a week and I refuse to make harvestors.
I try to keep at least 1 of every single deed except harvestors on my vendor and every single possible made furniture, streetlights, statues, fountains, I sell nothing below 1200 and that strategy is what keeps the traffic flowing, I have no other support vendors so all traffic is for architecture items.
Keeping your vendor stocked with everything means most people will spend the extra cash to buy everything in 1 shot, I keep all city structures in stock, so I dont get asked to make them, and I keep enough smalls in stock to help new cities.
The main reason I dont do harvestors is to be honest, its to much of a pain in the tail to hit ber13 for the little bit of money they generate, for me its time and energy vs profit, and its not worth it for me.
All house sizes are selling well, the only house type that does not sell well is corella style houses, but I do keep 1 of each stocked, every once in awhile someone buys one, large houses sell a little better then guild halls for me. Fountains and statues are big sellers, at 15k a pop I sell about15 fountains a week and 10 statues a week on average, furniture is weird how it sells, but typically I get a lot of repeat customers.
