Ok guys... about 2 months ago, I cracked the formula used to figure out crafting station functionality ratings...

I put it in a handly little spreadsheet, and manually updated the listings as I needed.

Just tonight, I have really cleaned it up and made it very presentable.

This excel spreadsheet is very precise, and will undoubtably help those of you who are making high end crafting stations.

It's located at loserwan.topcities.com (It's a throw-away website)

Of course, I encourage you to practice good net safety, and be sure to scan it and all...

Although my system is clean, I can't vouch for the hosting site.

Things to note about the file:

It is a protected file... areas where you aren't intended to input your info can't be edited. It's got multiple pages for each of the subcomponents, as well as some resource listings from my server(you can change this).

It also has an extra page designed for "any" item.

Let me know what you guys think.

So... Did anyone get this yet?

Or is there so little interest that I should just close it up and make it private again?

Oh yeah...
instructions...

Just put your own resources in on the "Resources" Page. If your resource doesn't have the stat, leave it blank(don't use a zero).

All areas where you can change stuff has a GREEN background. Other areas are locked for your protection.

As far as the other pages go... just select the proper resource and quantity and stat requirements... it calculates the rest.

This tool is just a way to let you quickly know which resource is best for the item, as well as letting you know the maximum station outcome for the selected resources.

The nice part about this is... it will work for just about anything, provided you have the schematic info and resources.

Keep in mind, I am by no means an expert when it comes to spreadsheets...
So let me know if anything in it seems bugged, or needs some tweaking.

Sorry, whatever program is needed to view it, I don't have. Oh well, guess I go without.

You need Microsoft Excel to use the file...

I myself use Excel 2002.

I tried using Open Office to read it, but no luck... it doesn't support the page protection that I used.

This is fantastic....you must have read my mind! One question tho: although it says I can sort the resources, I'm told the page is protected when I try and it won't let me. I was hoping to do that when I add my resources so I don't overlook one and duplicate it. If it can't be done, oh well....I still love this proggy! You are great, thank you!

Ok, it's fixed...
Kinda forgot to allow the sort command... my bad.

There is a new version 1.1 available for download at the same site.

I clicked the link and it was all garbled. I have excel 2002, so that is ruled out. How do you view the file.

You need to right click the link, and choose "save as".

The garbled stuff you were looking at was the actual insides of the file.
