Thread: Skill Tapes?
Sorry if it has been asked before, but can someone briefly explain this?
How do you get hold of these tapes? I've never seen one and Idon't think I've ever heard of anyone who has one even.
Kendrak - Ranger/Rifleman/Swordsman
They used to drop from humanoid mobs (chunkers, kooks, maulers, etc.) Last I heard, they were no longer dropping because they were on the same loot table as the skill enhancement attachements (which currently don't work) and were removed. However, you can occasionally find them in locked containers.

I didn't know where to get them either....but I just found quite a few for sale in the bazaar on tatooine about 20 minutes ago.
what category are they under?
I have one armor attachment, two skill enhancers, and one clothing tape. Each one is enabled to be "added" to one of my armor/clothing items. But nothing appears to happen. For example, I have a belt with sockets. When I drag the clothing tape (bleeding +2)to the belt, my skill points do not appear to change, the tape doesn't "disappear," nor does the stats of the belt change. Assuming the clothing tapes work, how do I know?

Can anyone answer my earlier question?
Any skill tape bonuses will now show up in your skills modsbox when you press ctrl+s in game.
For example i have a +2 pistol speed in a pair of gloves and it looks like this in the box
>>> Pistol Speed 74 (76)
Will someone be kind enough to explain to me what these might be and how I might be able to use them to make better harvesters?
Skill tapes add to your skills listed on your skill tree (CTRL+S). They look like a roll of tape and when examined will have something like Structure Experimentation +9 in the description. In your inventory (CTRL+I), you drag the skill tape and drop it onto a socketed piece of clothing you will wear to take advantage of that bonus skill. The tape will disappear and now your clothing will have one less socket and the skill bonus from teh tape will now be in the clothing description.
As for how they can possibly enhance your harvestors, they can give you more experimentation points to use during the build process. Skills usually have a maximum of 100, but skill tapes will allow you to go up to 125 skill max... With only 100 experimentation, you will have 10 points to use in experimenting your harvestors. But with 120+ you will have 12 points instead, and the two extra points can help you reach a higher percentage in experimentation... Of course, resources are also a big part of the equation, so make sure you use the best resources for the job otherwise you are wasting the skill tapes...
