Forgive me if this has been asked, but I only perused the first coupla pages

Has anyone started piecing together structure pricing for player cities? I know the cities aren't live yet, but I'm starting to get asked to "pre-order" components for when they hit the servers.

Anyone have any pricing advice? Thanks!

wake up people...you will never sell these items......

The PAs will be the only ones with cities....they have stocked piled resources and wall modules waiting for next week....structure factories are pumping all over....they wont be buying these structures from you or anyone else

Actually, I've had two people ask me today about it. That's why I thought I'd see what other people think. Mebbe I won't be stocking them like houses, but if someone wants to buy, I'm certainly not gonna argue

A ton of players are interested in opening their own Cantina's and such in someone elses established city. There is demand.

Personally I'm going to roll with at least 8:1 to start with. Demand will be exceeding supply for a few weeks. My pockets need some padding now that Guild Halls are commonplace.

Should someone convince me to make a city structure, the price will be at least 10cpu.

8 or 10 cr per unit sounds nice, but u can bet many &%/%& will undercutting this also like with all other structures very fast.

so i dont expect much on such buildings, and for sure not if every wannabe architect can make them, since they not planned as master schematics

so my price will be high, but i dont expect much buyers

Seeing those amounts, I am just thinking of dropping Architect.

Anyways, (Resource cost times 3) is what it's gonna float at in the end, I bet. If everyone just kep the same **edit** prices.

I'm a solo architect in a small 10 player guild in which I get to use the combat-classes lots for my harvesters, and have been hoarding on resources for awhile now in preparations for the player cities. I've been asked numerous times already for player city objects in pre-order. There are a few guilds out there where I'm their architect, they just have me make their items.

As far as profit goes, none of these items seem too absurd. I've got a constant supply of about 500-600 bricks at any given time, in factory crates, so I can whip up a couple city halls without too much of a dent to my stockpile. I'm not sure what I'll price them at, though. Something to make a profit, but I really doubt I'll go 8 or 10 CPU.

Probably get shot by some of you for this. But I price all my items at 3-4 cpu. I'll be doing the same for city structures. I don't see much of demand for the major sturctures. How many city halls can a planet hold anyways? Most of the money made on player cities will be in the enhancements. Gardens, street lamps, etc that a city can have multiples of.

Before people start yelling that I'm selling at or just above cost. I'm not. I do all my own resource harvesting. So my cost per unit of resource is less than one. Sure I can resell the resources for 3cpu but that isn't my cost. That is a resell value.

Price it at what you think you can sell at and make a profit. Which is all that matters..............that and having fun.

This is a huge gamble, but Im tossing around an idea that could turn out to be both fun and profitable, if people will actually go for it. Build a couple of each building, and put them on a 24 hour auction the day player cities go live. Then afterwards, offer to build them for the losers at the same price.

As far as regular pricing goes, I would love to see the architect community as a whole make a move toward pricing these structures at no less than 5-6 cpu. But the undercutters will always exist, and he's right, once the craze is over, they will trickle down to 3-4 again. Hell, its tough to sell anything other than experimented harvs at much more than 3 right now, which is ridiculous to me when every moron who can plop down a harv wants 3 for their garbage resources.

I'll probably price them about what I price other things, with a small premium. City hall for about 50% more than a PA hall sounds about right, considering it takes 30% more blocks.

Keep in mind that these things all have maintenance higher than any house or even a PA hall, so people won't want to spend outrageous amounts considering they have to keep paying to keep them.
