Thread: Novice to Master in 6 hours!!!
Novice Architect to Master in 6 hours!!! Yes it's true I just did it today. I became an Architect because that is what the almighty holo said to do.
THIS ISN'T RIGHT IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS EASY!
I knew it would take mad resources to do so I planned ahead and spent 2 million credits exactly on Ore, Steel, Aluminum, Gas, Chemical, and Copper.
I started by grindinggenerator turbinesand I was coming away with 2,900 XP per actual one crafted and 3,100 for every practive one..........
Hit construction 4 when I discovered the bread and butter that were given at construcion 1! Statues!!! 2,000 ore and 1,000 gemstones per statue. Those babies pay exactly 5,000 XP per actual one crafted and like 5,250 for each practice one.
This is silly and joe schmoe with little dough can become a Master Architect in a day, less than actually. This undermines your proffesion. I did it soley because like I stated earlier the holo told me too.
I planned on dropping right after reading the next holo and boom. The next holo says Master Merchant.
I'm a fighter not a crafter. But I am versatile enough to hang with it. So now I'm stuck with Master Architect almost and I can't complain because I have the sweetest pad I have ever seen.
But this is bad for you guys. Money is becoming more and more scarce do to recent mission pay changes, people who normally would not be crafters are suddenly thrown into the mix.
It's not looking good for the all the true crafters out there something needs to be done about this. Competition is getting fierce and there are people like me who will happily take a loss and sell stuff at extremely low prices just to get merchant XP.
The decay changes is a godsend for the tailor proffesion but where is the godsend for the architect proffesion???? Is it the player cities of course not because all the planets that players actually want to live on have hit their max limitalready.
What is SOE thinking with the mastery proffesion idea???????????

I find it unfortunate that SOE decided to make mastery of multiple skills the prerequisite to FS (for this very reason). Powergamers (and I do refer to people that post “how to master X in Y hours”) find the quickest way to level, and I don’t blame them for that. Their goal is FS as fast as possible, that’s when the “real” game play begins for them. While us crafters (I refer to those that enjoy learning the aspects of our crafting skill) are forced into competition with players that just want to move on.
We all feel betrayed that the magic FS calculation is merely a powergamer cookie, rewarding those that find methods to leveling fast, and not rewarding those that take time to enjoy the nuances of the crafting skill tree.
I couldn't agree more. I've been a master arch since shortly after release, and i still enjoy it. All the other MMORPGs i've played have lost me within a month, yet I still enjoy being an arch. My last holo said master BH, which means i have to free up 219 skill points to reach,it, which is most (if not all) of the arch tree. Its a real dilemma cause i want to try being a jedi, but i don't want to give up arch.
maybe i'll have to buy a second account. *blech*

1,441,000 xp in 6 hours!
720,500 units of resource!(assuming 2:1)
im prety **edit** angry about that, not at you..at SOE. yay lets make it easy for anyone with time and money to make master architect...and lets hurt those who want to stay with the class.
Pwr gamers pwr way to master arch, have lots of stuff hanging around (maybe) sell it off for next to nothing bottom falls out of market and moves on to next class.
crafters staying with the class face increasing pressure in pricing...and find it very hard to get holocrons..and when they do they have to give up their chosen profession..doh

Well if I ever found myself in that situation most likely what i would do is sell whatI grinded to either a up and coming architech, forfire sale prices to themso they couldbenefit from it to help their business. But I guess thats me, as I know several that could use the help.
Oh yeah. I forgot to ask... you justHAPPENEDto have all these resources on hand? I hate you even more.
Yup.. little bit of powergamer.. little bit of SCS limitations.. little bit of EBAY holocrons and FS slots..
= one heck of a corrupt jedi system.
Ugh... the pain.
Pvt you make a good point and I don't blame you for doing it, but to think I spent a few weeks leveling....
Decay is godsend to tailors? LOL.. hardly. Its not enough of a decay for tailor sales to be affected positively. The major buyers of tailored goods are entertainers who stay safe in towns ![]()
As for the grind to Master Arch..
I picked up Architect because I thought it would be fun, and it has been so far, and I'm not grinding per say. I do wall's and save them.. and turn them into Harvs when I feel like making up some for my, or friends use. Now I'm not gonna make master quickly.. but I've been doing pretty good actually. Probably on par with most people who took it up to do AS a profession in the game.
