Ok time for a different subject. perhaps, lets see if we can talk civil

I started playing at the same time as my 2 partners, we are all casual players, we started just a few weeks ago.

I have screamed past them so fast it is funny, It is not that I am all that smart ( I am sure there are those that will agree I am not ). One of them is a Weaponsmith and the other going into Droid Engineer ( although lately he is dabbling in Bio Engineering )

Wehave noticed some profound differences. lthough my XP requirements for a level are indeed higher than theirs, what I grind is giving me 400 xp per unit while theirs is only giving them 90-120. My requirements are higher but not 4 times higher. hat I grind ( structural modules ) I can sell as walls, what the Weaponsmith grinds is totally useless to him. Which is why I support them financially as we were going up the tree.

I have made ( last night ) Master Architect in so short a time as to be laughable, anyone with almost no effort at all could do what I did. A power gamer could do it in a couple of weeks. I am starting to think they should have tripled the xp requirement for architect. I hardly had time to be one level before I was the next.

This is not a statement about the market or prices or anything else, just the tree of architect itself seems to be too easy compared to the others. One thing that would have made it more difficult is if extractors had not been on the architect tree at all.

Just an opinion.

p.s. If I I forgot to mention Walmart and business is war, please forgive me.

Did you use a PA's support, or multiple accounts of lots for harvesters? Ifso, it dosen't count.

No just 3 guys, I did get to use some of thier lots so I had as many lots as 2 people instead of one.

LOL, Maybe not, but I dont think my case is exceptional.

Maybe I am under estimating how helpfull it was for three of us to work together.

I supplied the materials not only for myself but for them and I paid the pay mantenance for everything through wall sales. They supplied me with odd things here and there and they scouted resource locations for me. I pulled from all the extractors and used whatever they didnt need. They always teld me they felt guilty becasue I was paying for everything and doing allt he work, I told them thier lot space more than made up for it.

I didnt think 3 guys could preform like an entire PA could, maybe we did, maybe you are right and it doesnt count.

I did it solo in about six weeks. Between upkeeping my harvesters, building houses for friends, and making some coin on the open market, I consider myself pretty successful. But there are PA architects that did it in a faction of the time with all the PA help.

I use two accounts for mutliple lots for harvesters and have a PA that provides power for me (which will soon change). I have two heavies that were given to me by my PA, and hopefully soon I'll have a Fusion. But, past that, I pay for all of my maint costs.

I don't necessarily think that it doesn't count if you are usingmutliple accounts for placing extractors. This is not a difficult thing to do. Even if you don't want to pay for multiple accounts to get extra lots, I'm sure there are TONS of combat classes that use a grand total of zero lots that would be more than happy to either just let you use some of theirs or possibly lease them for a low price.

Getting extra lots in this game shouldn't really be all that difficult. Granted, being backed by a PA and having multiple accounts makes things A LOT easier. But, it still shouldn't be difficult.

As far as arch being too easy? Nah, I don't think so at all. We sell the least amount of wares compared to any other elite crafting class. So, by that right, we need to have the skills to be able to craft the structures and furniture that are in demand very quickly. Otherwise, it'd be flat out near impossible to even survive in the architecture field. Weaponsmiths can easily sell mid level weapons to starting characters for 10 to 20 cpu and keep themselves afloat while grinding. But, the novice arch, if not backed by a PA or generous friends, cannot survive on selling small houses. Selling a small house is almost as difficult as selling low quality alum for 10cpu. It's amazing what you have to do to sell a small house at times. If you can find a different way to bring in cash to support your extractors while grinding, then eventually, after a lot of hard work, you'll come out on top. But, the quicker we can grind to be able to build structures that people can actually buy, the better off we will be. So, is arch too easy? Nah, I don't think so. It's actually 10x quicker to move up the Artisan tree.

I dont understand this "doesn't count" thing. He is wondering if his experience rate of growth is accelerated compared to those of other proffessions.

Personally, I am in a similar situation. I have two partners, only one of which shares lots with me. I made Master Arch in 5 weeks of casual play. I now finance much of their gun/pet/droid/armor needs and we all live in a great big house on Naboo.

Personally, I think its great. I dont know if its unballanced, but my growth did appear to be rather easy.

Is becoming a master architect TOO easy? Nah...but it might be easier than master chef/tailor/or doctor. I just dont know.

If you're going to compare crafting experience, you can't allow factoring in multiple lots of accounts or any PA help. Some people usefive extra lots, some use fifty. Some PAs are extremely wealthy, while others are bottom of the barrel poor. The only way to really tally up how it compares to other crafting classes is to compare one solo crafter with another. Outside help is a big factor.

Getting there might be easy, but make your first fusion generator and you'll find there's a "gotcha!" at the end that more than balances things out.

Hmm can anyone verify that this guy has actually built anything as an architect or is he a squad leader just trying to get a rise out of everyone?

Everyone gets the same XP. You get 2Xp per resource used. So while your friends were making small items they were only getting a little bit of XP. How many resources are needed for a pistol? A couple hundred? Not much XP compared what an Arch can get. One wall is worth 6000XP. A generator is 3000XP. All these are needed items. You said you were making walls and selling them. That's how you were rising so fast.

Also are your friends using factories? If so they aren't getting the XP for those items probably. If you stay by the factory you get something like 10% but most people don't do that.

As long as the resources are available I don't think it's that hard for any crafter to level. If you have the material nothing is stopping you from just grinding til you get Master.
