If they don't know then that shows just how absurdly out of touch they are with our profession.
It took a good while before they found out about the None Serial Looted SubComponants.. and Pretty much with what is on their plate right now I dont know how high of a priority it is to fix the Painting issue..

Fixing the Bestinepaintings at this stage of the game would be a mistake.
If they're gonna do that, why not just put factory limits back to 100 items like it was originally meant to be.
Believe me there are other things I am pushing to be fixed before id let this come up on the radar..
( I dont know if many of you have noticed but ALOT of Bugs from several Professions have been getting Fixed in the last few weeks.. with more to come
)

Well if there's anything I could ask the correspondents to get together on, it's getting an option button to turn off resorting my inventory.
That has got to be the WORST use of programmer resources I have seen to date. The old "equipped first" resort was much more intuitive.

actually if you change view select volume, hit change view again andthen restart it fixes the problem..

Ok.. It shouldnt be a suprise that SOE fixes Items that were meant to be Limited/Rare. They have done it before with certain weapons and armors tied to loot.
If a schematic has a limited use funtion of 3 .. honestly does it really make sense that it is intended to make 3k items from them??? If the Devs Knew that the BestinePaintings were being made into Schematics I am pretty sure that they would be adjusted to.. Limited Use is that way for a purpose.
However with this current situation I aggree with you all 100% the items that has been chosen for this" Needs to be Limited" status is pretty rediculous. they are almost all items that we should have gotten as a permenant schematic anyway.. So In my opinion they should be switched to being Permenantly learned when you get them. and save the "Needs to Be Limited" status for items that truly warrant that status.

oh...oh...oh... I can't resist. With all due respect (and much respect is intended) you just validated a point that has been bothering me for quite some time. The Dev's are quick to over react, and it's clear they do not play the game. If the Dev's took as much time to play an architect as most of us do, they'd run away pulling their hair out (true, this can be said about most professions, but architect is a grind and nothing else). Should the new looted schematics have been able to produce 1000 items? No. Should the Dev's have seriously over reacted and cut it down to 1? No. Should the Dev's have taken player feedback first, or better yet, used Test Center for what it's intended? Yes.
The Bestine paintings have been around for nearly a year, and we've almost come to the end of the cycle for possible paintings. I'd be shocked and amazed if any of the developers actually took the time to look at how these schematics were being used, and/or how they effect the economy. Generally speaking, I do a run of 100 paintings and sell them for prices that could just as easily be posted on the bazaar. Let's say, hypothetically, that we could make a grand total of three paintings. 48k for the schematic, plus our time, plus the resources and the pricetag would easily hit 25-50k. This is eye-candy we're talking about, nothing more, nothing less.
Now let us jump back to the new looted schematics. With the exception of four, they're all looted from dead Imps. I don't exactly see many Imperial players changing factions over this...not only would it be silly, but it would throwthe so-called GCW out of wack. So, the only way a large chunk of the player base can obtain these is to buy the schematics or finished items. Said as a Rebel, once again, the Imperials are getting screwed over. They're forced to pay insane prices because of poor planning and implementation from the Dev's. More importantly, let's look at the reality of this. Anyone who thinksa table ora couch should be "limited/rare" is a bit out of touch with the game. Sorry, not meant as an insult to you, but it's true. While I'll admit the concept of rarity is subjective, the schematics that architects SHOULD have anyway are some of the hardest to loot. I can get 50 technical consoles before one modern cafe table.
I have no objections with crafters being able to make a reasonable amount of items off a schematic (and, yes, 1000 is not reasonable). What bothers me most about all of this is the clear representation of the Dev's jumping the gun and, once again, throwing things out of wack. In a time when prices are going up, and income is going down, there needs to be a better balance and better understanding of what people want. I love loot, you betcha...and I love the concepts that are slowly being introduced. What I'm incredibly annoyed at is that there is a clear lack of understanding on how the professions and factionsinteract. What's next, forced dealings for Imperials to contract smugglers to buy from Rebels? As a crafter, I don't care about faction. I don't care about the GCW. I don't even care about credits. I care about happy customers.
All the Dev's appear to be doing is, yet again, putting the balance of power with the combatants. Or, more accurately, with the campers who will grind for hours/days at a single spot.
