Thread: Architectual Item Pricing
Every Server is different. On Bria. here are my prices and weekend results:
- Swoop - 20K (sold 100-110 over the weekend from crated sales)
- AV-21 - 2.75M for 98% - 3.5 for 100% (sold 1 over the weekend)
- All other vehicles - Why make them? Everyone wants a swoop, barc, av21, or jetpack.
- City Hall - 375K (sold6 over the weekend)
- Guild Hall - 250K (sold7-8 over the weekend)
- Large House - 100K (sold 10 over the weekend)
- Medium House - 50K (sold0 over the weekend)
- Small House - Don't make them, waste of time.
- BER14 Heavy - 250K / Fusion 120K / BER14 Gas 350K (sold40-45 over the weekend side order for 50 more for someone)
- BER13 Heavy - 110K but have not made one in about a month since BER14 sells out all the time (sold 1 over the weekend)
- Factories - 50K (sold1 over the weekend)
I don't understand why (or how) some of these otherpeople areselling FINISHED goods for the price of RAW materials and not even factoring in time and factory costs. On Bria, raw materials ALONE cost 2 cpu+ consistently. You guys are slitting your own throatand not factoring in the constant rising finished good prices in other profofessions due to the CONSTANT influx of credits that have no outlet.
Wake up people, the architect profession is NOT that cutthroat to the point where we need to kill each other while not making any money at it.
Unique opinions on pricing = # of architects * Pawlin's constant number of Architect futility
Pawlin's number being a constant equal to 1.2801
I think that old stony may have been "trolling" (though i have to confess i have no idea what this means lol)
His comparisons to real life are a little odd. I play from the UK, now unless things are very different in the US I would imagine these costings are roughly the same.
2 bedroom house in the Uk is around £80,000-£140,000 this range covers cheap and expensive areas of the UK. Now if we re comparing the game to RL surely we should be chargeing an average price of around 100k for a small house?!?
I have been a master arch since the game was released, and was a master arch during the beta testing. I have got bored with the whole selling/vendors stuff, I now decorate (usually for free, sure that mucks things up a bit) and I build buildings and harvestors for friends and guildies, also free. I have never had a problem with anyone selling things in the game at any price. I have had abuse from both archs and non0archs at times throughout my time playing, I have however come to the decision... IF YOU DONT LIKE SOMEONES PRICE FIND SOMEONE ELSE (preferablly someone who cares)
Oh well thats it, been good reading guys

£80-140k is actually fairly reasonable.
Median for US as a whole is around $188k or £106k. But we've got large variances in prices for different regions. Median house costs in the West US is $282k or £160k. Median house cost in the state of California is now over $500k or about £280k.
