Thread: macros
My dearest DarkImitation,
**edit** are you talking about? I don't have a 'guide.' You might want to edit your post there.
"Now Im sorry Krillian I went to your guide and that all crap. Your first thing is ..."
Bonehead.

Geeze, for those artisans looking for looping macro, go to this post and check out how to do it.

***
*Open up notepad.exe and type the following line into it:
*
*mac1: /stand; /pause 1; /sample; /pause 450; /sit; /pause 150; /mac2
*Now you have a macro named mac1, executed as /mac1, which, after sampling and resting your action bar *back up, calls /mac2.
*mac2: /stand; /pause 1; /sample; /pause 450; /sit; /pause 150; /mac3
*mac3: /stand; /pause 1; /sample; /pause 450; /sit; /pause 150; /mac4
*mac4: /stand; /pause 1; /sample; /pause 450; /sit; /pause 150; /mac5
*...
Hey good idea but could you recall the first macro from the second. likeo so
mac1: /stand; /pause 1; /sample; /pause 450; /sit; /pause 150; /mac2
mac2: /stand; /pause 1; /sample; /pause 450; /sit; /pause 150; /mac1
HAven't tried it but sounds like the holy grail of macro looping.
you can call macros which you dragged into the F key bar, via the /ui command...
This is the macro I use
/stand
/sample
/pause 700 (to get this time be at full action and time how long it takes for you to run out. put this number in secconds i have a high action it takes me 700 secs to run out)
/stand
/sit
/pause 200 (this it the ammount of time it takes to get to full action while sitting)
/ui action toolbar Slot 8 (this will call the macro from the F9 slot)
this can be cancled by moving the macro from the F9 slot
Part of this is mine part is assembled from other posts.
because you automatically stand when your action line runs out, all it put in my macro is
/sam;
/pause 800;
/sam;
/pause 800;
then I just repeat those lines and my guy samples till the action line runs out and then he pauses for 800 seconds to let the action line regenerate and then starts sampling again
Does anyone know a good site or thread that explains macros extensively. I am looking for examples more than anything.
Thanks
Drimcynn
go to this guy's site, i just tried it and it works great, don't have to worry about finding the macro, they are all easily available to me now

Ok, I got those working but I have a question about Macros for other purposes - many of which are just for my own amusement what are the commands for other keys? say F3? (honestly I just want to strip off my armor and put on better looking clothes fast lol)Could some kind soul please post some of these command types for those of us who are not as skilled in the finer points of programming?

Macro
A macro is a set of user-entered commands bound to a hotkey. You can create your own macros in SWG by going to the Actions window (CTRL-A or from the button bar) and choosing the Macro tab.
