All harvesters have a rating called a Base Extraction Rate (BER). Top of the line heavy harvesters will be BER 13 or 14, smaller harvesters have lower BER caps, so you will see many of them at BER 10. The BER tells you how much the harvester pulls per hour. If you have a BER 13 harvester on a 90% concentration, the pull is 13*0.90 = 11.7 kg/hr (I believe that is the right unit of measure).

If you examine a harvester deed, you will see the BER listed. Typically a BER 13 harvester goes for about 110k.

Try and get a fusion generator. It is normally BER 14, and you pop it on a radioactive spot. IT will supply enough energy to run 9 other heavy harvesters in your other 9 lots if you wanted to go that way. Realistically you would need a house so probably only 7 other harvs.

As mentioned, there are 3 sizes of harvs. They are personal (BER 1-4) , mediums (BER 5-10) , heavies (BER 9-13). BER 14 Heavies used to be in the game but were patched out waaay back, you do see the odd one for sale now and then, but at silly prices.

Each size uses varying maintenance and power, so check what your budget can support. Heavies will pay for themselves quickly if you sell high quality stuff, but the initial outlay is high.

If you are tight on cash you may want to stick to medium extractors. The heavies take 50% more maintenance and power and only yield 30% more in resources produced. A good medium will have a BER of 10. Don't settle for anything less.

Hey,

after getting one of the self powered harvester deeds for my vet reward i've decided to drop a harvester. My chacater however is all battle professions, and i don't know anything about dropping harvesters, when where or how.

My question is what should i harvest, how do i find it, and where do i get a harvester?

Thanks for any help provided

I'd reccomend you first check www.swgcraft.com for current resources in your galaxy. Go to Current Resources, then select your server, and all planets. That will list all the currently available resources for each of the planets. Note that this may or may not be a comprehensive list. It's comprised of entries posted by users. Many times I've found resources on a planet and that planet wasn't listed as having that resources.

As far as what to harvest, that all depends on what your objective is. If you're looking for grinding materials, check your schematics and find what you need most. If you are looking to just sell resources, I'd suggest mining anything with High OQ and High any other stat (swgcraft.com will put an asterisk next to each resource for each attribute over 900). As an example, on Bria, we just had a spawn this past weekend of Omniraboris (Vertex Crystalline Gemstone). Stats - ER=999, CR=995, DR=855, HR=960, MA=397, OQ=978, SR=962, UT=922. AWESOME stats, and gets six asterisks. This should sell for a good price once the spawn is over.

How do you find it? Use your survey tool, find the highest concentration you can (Minerals - >75%). Once you find a high concentration, drop your harvester, pay your maint fees (Mediums, I put about 12K credits in for a week, Personals, I put about 6K credits for a week, haven't used heavies yets). If you get any additional harvestors, you will need to provide power too.

Where do you get more harvesters? A few locations - 1) Personals can be found on the bazaar. 2) Mediums and Heavies can be found at vendors (check the trade forum for you galaxy and ask where to find a medium or a heavy). 3) If you are in a guild, check to see if anyone is selling them there or if an architect will make you what you need. I was lucky enough for someone to just give me 4 BER10 Mediums.

For more information on harvestors, check out this link - http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=artisan&message.id=33198. You'll find a lot of good information on Harvestors there. Also, if you are planning on getting into mining, I'd check out Je'cy's mining guide - http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=artisan&message.id=47398. You'll find a wealth of information here too.

that depands on servers.

there are 3sizes to all harvester. personal-medium-heavy.

there are also minerals-chemical-water-flora-fusion-wind-solar-gas

minerals harvester and fusion can both be used to harvest radioactive. but the fusion are the most eff. one, since it only uses credits to run, not power as minerals do.¨

to find out how much they cost. goto an bazaar-vendor search- then look under deeds and find harvesters

Go to Destroy Structure, if you have enough maintenance it (text is green) you will get the deed back.

You have to destroy structure.

Just make sure you have the maintenance paid up.

Once you click destroy, a window will pop up

If everything is green, it will redeed and be placed into your inventory.

If it's red, it's destroyed and gone to the harvestor heaven.

make sure all the text is white and green. if there is any RED text in the windows after you select the destroy option you will

loose the structure if you continue.
