A small sporting arena.

complete agree. arena is extremaly need for improve players fighting events. it must looks like small studium, andcan be a part of civic structure, installed in city. player access control, for allowing only fighters to enter required. all spectators, placed around arena and cant attack fighters, only showing. (may be a transparent walls). after exiting arena, any flags cleared from fighters for prevent after battle attacks. this not hard to implement i think, but can many help for players.

hi i've been a master architect for 6 months and when i started there was lots of bussness but now it's drifted off. as much as i can see that the structures sugested in this thred would help an architect out i don't think that it would solve the main problem. KEEPING AN ARCHITECT IN BUSSNESS. as most of the posts i have read have been for more one off buildings. i think that the best idea i have heard was in a differant thred called Architect... a dead end profession?where it's sugested that havestors have a decay rate. this would meen that people would buy a harvestor and be able to use them for a fixed amount of time (possiably set by experimenting) before the harvetor cann't be used any more.

not sure if this would work or not.

to keep the arch buisness alive and such, i think new houses need to be added. a 2nd medium and large house for every planet other than generic and corellia would be nice.

also i have always like the idea of having player cities structures ie:city hall, hospital banketc. being updated automatically with each step the player city takes. i mean if you put down a city hall in a new city and in all that time of building up a city and making it look good and adding new structures, bases etc. the city hall should get bigger or get more stuff added to it. dunno what exacty but to have the same city hall you had when you were a villiage is kinda well stupid. i would think in all that time the buildings would be updated with new stuff to acomidate the expanding city. like the hopital gets as big as they are in major cities etc.

i think its a good base idea.

There are 2 ways to bring more business to architects:

1) New structures. Players usually want the newest coolest thing that everyone else doesn't have, and many of the structures suggested in this thread are useful or at least novel. The downside is that it still doesn't fix the most basic problem of the profession, that once our customers purchase our goods their done with us. Also, there is an issue of art assets... the Devs would have to devote time to add new product for us, something they are reluctant to due with any profession, especially if art is involved.

2) Make structures degrade. Have the durability% be the lifespan of the structure in days. For buildings, this can be restored using a deed for the same structure (ie: your Naboo medium house is getting low on durability, so you get a deed for a Naboo medium house that has a 82% durability, go in your house and select "refurbish" from the structure menu and 82 days is added to the durability). This would keep people from having to relocate their possession and rearrange their furniture.

Harvesters and factories would just have to be replaced. These are machines with lots of moving parts, so it would make sense they have to be replaced.

In either case, if the structure runs out of maintenance they would decay as they do now. This could also cost durability (maybe the loss of an additional day per day without maintenance).

Players will pay as much for a suit of composite armor as they will for a PA Hall and not bat an eye, knowing the armor will be shot to pieces. To keep architects viable, we need product flow.

No decay + uber loot = /spit on crafters

Fix the economy and give crafters their $$$ worth... give us real revamp.

Remember... to Cancel you have to go to Register Expansion in the Launchpad.

They have Droid repair kits, Armor repair kits, Weapon Repair kits, and they even have Clothing repair tools.. why don't they have Harvester repair tools?

This would be a great addition as well. A little degrade on the harvester, and poof, sell someone a repair kit and away they go.

Casinos (with games of chance sold seperatly)

Hotels

Display shops

Better idea: Getting rid of the current house types and replacing them with 3 base models (small, medium, large) and then make the interior floorplan, exterior appearance, color, internal lighting, and optional functions (bonuses, additional storage, etc) as components to be added during assembly.

I would really love the idea to have a tool that could fill in water, you could have a city with say the City Hall in the middle surronded by water and have bridges going across the river, sorta like a mout.

im not sure if this has been said or not but i would like to see more customization to the existing structures.

like a image designer for houses and furniture some one pays me to go to there house and change the wallpaper or carpet color. And we really need to change the color of those sofa chairs Purple come on.

Organic housing. Or something that actually blends into the environment. I like to live far away from the cities, and I don't want my dwelling disturbing the natural beauty of the wilderness. Maybe you could make me a cavelike dwelling, or even something like a tent would be nice. Hell, even the existing campsites would suffice, but something that is static and can store a few items.
