Thread: Dupers sell for cheap
How true Mced...the knot in my stomach whenever I pressed the assemble button is now gone...almost completely. I make enough from my structures that failures are easily absorbed. Why someone in the profession would argue for less profit instead of more is beyond me.
Guys who are selling for lowball prices, try it, just once. Buckle down and sell for an amazing 4 cpu. People will pay it...you'll see.
What I read from most of you who sell for very low is that you are basing your prices pretty much totally on the cost to produce an item and pay no attention to the actual worth of that same item. Sure...a porche is made up of probably a few hundred dollars worth of metal and glass and fiberglass and plastic, but when you put it all together, it's something with true worth. Don't get me wrong...there's not anything we build that's really truely unique from architect to architect. Besides slapping a different name on an object (which does work wonders...try naming a data terminal a 'Direct Link to SOE Customer Service' and watch them fly from the shelves) there is no difference whatsoever.
Our products are worth more than they cost though. Even after you factor in ALL of your costs, there is an inherent worth to our stuff...don't sell yourself short.

You have an interesting definition of troll, to me a troll is someone that constantly bashes others ( I dont ) and espically the ones that dont even play SWG but constantly bash the game ( lifeless trolls ).
But you can ignroe me, that wont bother me,I can tell you that my customers in-game dont ignore me

"TROLL:
An electronic mail message, Usenet posting or other (electronic) communication which is intentionally incorrect, but not overtly controversial (compare flame bait), or the act of sending such a message. Trolling aims to elicit an emotional reaction from those with a hair-trigger on the reply key. A really subtle troll makes some people lose their minds.

I'd also use TROLL in general for someone posting things which will elicit any kind of emotional reaction. I don't think it necessarily has to be a "incorrect" point, but could be a controversial opinion.
Someone that "constantly bashes others" would be a FLAMER.
I guess you could both flame and troll at the same time. Like a controversial attack against others that you know will elicit an emotional response.
I'm not calling anyone troll or flamer. Just arguing symantics for no good reason. ![]()
Someone shouldadvise Allakhazam andSWGCenter that they are encouraging players to be classified as dupers.
Both websites host a guide to becoming an Architect that contains this paragraph;
D. Make friends whenever possible. I have built numerous houses and other items for people and given away and traded them off for less than they are worth. Sounds crazy I know but now I have full sets of armor, great weapons, and tons of contacts with whom to trade ideas with. People will remember your generosity and kindness.
