Thread: Old Heavy Harvsters are worthless now!
Surefont - CDEF pistols were always worthless
In any event, there is a vast difference between making new things that might well be better than old thing (e.g. guns etc), and making things that are identical to old things in all respects, but cost less to run.
This is especially true of things people have payed 80-100k a piece for. Turning 100k structures, even 80k ones, into 5-10k structures overnight is bad.
Just for the record, I have 6 old heavy harvesters that I have used since the first week of release when I made them. To date, they are still out there running right along side of some new mediums. Perhaps someday when I am confident that the harvesters wont change I will make a new fleet of heavies but I am not in any rush. They still fulfill my needs even if they are inefficient by the new standards. I have not and do not consider them "worthless", obsolete, but not worthless.
I also own armor that when I bought it was considered the top of the line and best to be found. However compared to whats new on the market it is now obsolete and not quite so good. That doenst make it any less useful. Change your perspectives a bit, to immerse yourself in a role-playing world you must make the same assumptions you would in the real world. You wouldnt run out and buy a new car because it gets 3 miles more per gallon. (well some will but not most) There are lots of things I own that are now obsolete compared to new stuff but I continue to use it cause it works for me. Next thing you must do here is remember, you are paying in CREDITS!not US DOLLARS! I swear some people Iquote to must be convinced that this is their job and I am stealing their life blood and or food from the table. Its a Game!
Amusing in all the debates about the trade off of miners and architects and prices.......
Ive never bought any resources from a miner. I extract all my own, and have a surplus of
materials, and far from any lack of bank funds that would say Im not selling very much product either.
Why would any architect buy resources? I dont get it ![]()
