Thread: Questions not to ask a master arch
Out of the blue from a customer I usually do business with...(Not exact on the wording but something like this)
THEM: Can you make some crafting stations?
ME: OK which ones.
THEM: All of them, how much?
ME: It depends on quality
THEM: What do you mean?
ME: (I spend 5 minutes explaining crafting stations)
THEM: It doesnt matter
ME: OK it will be 10k each (Experminental about 12 - 14 each)
THEM: OK can you drop them at my house when your done.
ME: OK Ill drop off 5 crafting stations for 50k total (I dont usually deliver stuff but I have worked with this customer before)
Next Day
THEM: Did you drop off the crafting stations
ME: Yes
THEM: OK Ill give you 25k for them
ME: The deal was 50k
THEM: Thats expensive I never agreed to that price.
ME: Yes you did
THEM: No I didnt are you trying to rip me off? (I sold him most of his furniture at below average pricing, even gave him a great deal on his house)
ME: Yes you did I have a screen shot to prove it (I take screenshots of most custom orders to make sure I have the price right)
THEM:I can get them for 1k on the bazaar
ME: Then why didnt you get them at the bazaar
THEM: I dont want the take them back or Ill keep them for free
ME: Fine Ill pick them up
Few minutes later...
THEM: Ill pay 50k for the stations
ME: Forget it and dont plan on buying anything from me again
Few minutes later...
THEM: Are you going to take or what
ME: Im on my way it will take me a few minutes to get there
THEM: If you dont get them I am contacting SOE
ME: Why?
THEM: Because your harassing me
ME: (At this point I had enough) Listen I have been nothing but fair to you giving you stuff really cheap to help you out and now you say im harassing you.
THEM: I contacted SOE ingame to deal with this
ME: Fine
Few minutes later...
THEM: No one is online I talk to them tommorrow
ME: Ill be waiting!

Sorry for the long post, it just got me really mad that I do what I can to help people and when they dont like something, its my fault or Im a dumb noob. I should have just /ignore right from the start but I give people the benefit of doubt and try to hear them out. So from now on no more going the extra mile or discounts.

*NB last time I checked vendor search for city halls, I was undercutting the competition by 100k. Maybe I'll raise prices again...

You reply: Sorry I'm not a weaponsmith, I'm an architect.

You reply: Yes, I make houses harvesters furniture and the like, not weapons.
OtherGuy tells you: i have house already trade me for a city hall
You reply: Are you asking to give you a City Hall in trade for a house?
OtherGuy tells you: ya i give you my house it has creds in it
OtherGuy tells you: you trade a city for me. oh and you give me the 14k creds back in the house.
You reply: That not a fair trade. Sorry but not interested. I do have City Halls stocked on my vendor however for 200K each if you are interested in buying one.
OtherGuy tells you: WAT??? U R A RIP OFF!!!
OtherGuy tells you: I got friend that sells those for 50K
You reply: I suggest that you take your friend up on the deal then. City Halls normally go for roughly 500K

You reply: I'm not doing that trade. If you wish to buy something from my vendors I will send you my shop's WP. Otherwise I am busy right now.
OtherGuy tells you: i all ready bin to ur shop wherer weapons
OtherGuy tells you: How much 4 flamethrowers
You reply: Ummm...500K. But it's a complex weapon to craft. I'll need you to get a City Hall deed from my vendor and trade it to me. I'll need that for one of the flamethrower components. Also I'll need you to get me 100K ore and 200K Duralloy steel. I can have it ready for you in a day or so.

lol hey! i have bad punctuation, well partly because i'm normaly talking to like 5 people and gotta type fast but still cant judge by that lol
and to all of you nonarchs reading this dont take offence we just need to vent allitle. i get along with most of my customers excellently, in fact (though this is bad for bussiness) i end up getting to know them in about 5 min then i feel like i have to give them a big disscount on my stuff trying to work on that now lol i get alot of customers but only a few like the ones u read about in this thread, if u ask inteligent questions and realize that you dont nessecarily know everything then we will get along fine

Me: So your calling me an idiot for charging 250k for a guild hall. I sell about 4-5 a week.
WH: Only stupid people would pay that much.

If you are not planning on selling the statues then use practise mode and inspiration buffs to get even more unless thats been nerfed some where
