Funny you should mention this, i helped my partner get novice fencer last night on Dant. She was buffed and in full comp, musician buff ahrisa and brandy and cob running, i was buffed, no food, no drink and no armor (never use armor on dant)
She spent more time looking at the stars from the janta kd than anything else and is also a tkm, when i was tkm and took up fencing i too did the whole grind in squill caves with a fast sword (800k xp per buff) and never got into any trouble. I couldnt believe how fast and effective fencer was back then, so am wondering if the latest publish may have changed mobs slightly.
Just hang in there, fencers dodge is awsome, as soon as you get spin attack agro 6-8 squills and watch them drop like flies and not hit you once
I just started using fencer as my main combat prof, got tired of watching UA3, and hitting the health pool of a sith thug takes them down much quicker
TKM, master fencer, master brawler, medic, scout, rifle

I read and read the forums and I see every SW pretty much charges 1 cpu. It just doesn't make sense to me. Do you mine ALL your own resources? It just seems like too much unless youuselots from other people.SW resources on my server are way over prices if you use a miner and I would never be able to compete at these low low prices.
Maybe I've been an AS way too long.
I'm just trying to get a feel for this profession before I jump all the way in it. Don't want to be caught off guard.

1cpu!?
Never saw anyone charging 1cpu.
Average price is 10 afaik, and you need to do a LOT of shopping to get decent resource prices for that which you can't mine (most of it), plus some guild help comes in handy.
Try charging more than 10 and be prepared for customers to go elsewhere or call you thief, gouger, ripoff, et al ....

10 cpu is over priced. 5 max is what I will pay per unit. More then that is to mich except for exceptional and rare resourses.

I am getting ready to x2 my prices my self. Namely to do business doing good and it will still be lower then about 60% of the SW on my server.

Are you talking about the resources you're buying as a shipwright or what you'd pay to a shipwright in cpu for his products?
I normally try to stay away from resources over 5cpu, but sometimes you need to bite the bullet and pay more. I pay up to 10 when absolutely necessary, but rest assured i only buy as much as I need for that particular project. I've seen 'ideal' resources at 20-60 cpu if you can imagine that... I simply refuse to pay more than ten. Period. I even have strong reservations paying 6 to 10....
If you're saying you'd only pay 5cpu to a sw, then, well, heh, don't come to my shop. ![]()

Good, then it was just an isolated case. Was afraid i'd barely be making my money back if I went through with this.
Thanks for the input guys!!!

Here on Wanderhome the prices are fairly stable for now at 5cpu for shipframes, and 20cpu for components.
I have no problem selling quality (950+ resources used) parts at these prices.
