Thread: Coming Soon BER 11 mediums!!
My fear is that they will make the change, realize that it effectively takes the skill and planning out of Architect, and then change the resource quality requirements for Architect items, thereby making our existing resources of no use anymore (can anyone say Armorsmith?). I love the buffs that they've added with the exception of the resource quality one. It doesn't even make sense. Inspiration won't make your resources better. They are what they are. Inspiration could definitely improve your ability to craft (Assembly and Experimentation bonuses) or your learning (experience), but improve an inanimate item? C'mon!
I love the idea of selling new harvesters to everyone that wants to upgrade but I hate the idea of anyone being able to jump into Architect and immeditately make the best harvesters. It's taken me a year of learning, practicing and relearning to become a successful architect. I know the game is set up so that people can change professions easily (and that's a good thing) but it shouldn't be that easy.

At least they're doing soething to make entertainers more valuable again.

If this goes on live, one thing it will definitely proves is that the "hoarding" problem was always an artificial one since they're going to permit harvesters that will harvest even more. And since the number 1 reason forno new content for architects is resolved since hoarding is now recognized as"never have been a problem", we want our content. NOW!

not exactly true.. I am sure that when numbers were ran to test this addition the top three professions that came to mind were WS AS and CHEF..
Well if this goes live it will make resource hording a non issue. Hording happens cause theres a rare high stat material. With this change high stat materials will be relatively common. SO therse no reason to horde as much if any old 900+ stat will do just as good.

Rare stats,. Pfft. April 20th 2005 was the last Duralloy steel spawn on Tempest. How about any damn spawns!?!

Or they'll make the change. Then change it back a day later. Like I said...

It appears the resource stat buff % is getting cut.. ( alot ) so there will be less to worry about..
Outstanding news!! But, I would still prefer seeing the resources stay as-mined and offering a repair or complexity buff instead. Seems a little more realistic.
Ya, I've seen this copy/pasted elsewhere:

We're changing the resource attribute bonus to 1% for Artisans and 2% for everyone else.
It's getting cut, that figures.
After an initial period of whining and bitching, I was wondering if I should start making Cantina deeds in quantity. I could envision "crafting parlors" which were cantinas with crafting stations lining the sides, vendors selling bespin and pyollian, and master musicians and dancers taking "requests". It almost reminded me of silicon valley in the 70's.
Saego, Wanderhome.
But if it does go through, I'll just make the harvesters with the extra 1 BER and the +45 craftin stations and sell em for what I do now. 35k per medium and 110k per heavy. Probably do 50k for the stations though since everyone will be makin em. Good thing I spent the last year building up a stockpile of resources...... I wonder how many BER 11 and 14 harvesters I can make with 150 mil resources to draw on.......
