Thread: Crafter's Alliance Fix the economy once and for all!
I've always used 3.5 to 4cr/unit for my structures and a flat 5cr/unit for furniture.
I will accept full or partial trades of resources (that I can use) for a 2cr/unit discount.
I've always had pretty good luck selling enough to keep my head above water. I'm not a real agressive sales person though.

Hello fellow architects,
I too will say I would never sell for less than 3 cr per resource . It does sometimes feel that we are fighting a up hill battle . Just today I got a tell from someone to make him a Large House for 16k plus resources (which were only 8k LOL)
Let's be serious here , that had to be a joke I thought , but low and behold it was not , he wanted me to do it out of the kindness of his heart . Now I try to be polite and as nice as I can , but this was the stupidiest offer I have ever had . I just couldn't believe it , must of just been a kid looking for a break , either or , it still pissed me off . I get tells all the time for large harvs , I sell them for 120k , and get told they can buy them for 80k . Well be my guest , I made Architect in 3 weeks after live servers went up , I made very nice money selling everything for 3-5 credits and will just sit on my couple million , and just make stuff for Friends and myself .
I can't understand why anyone would want to undercut and sell there services for that much less , but I guess it happens and this is my way of dealing with it .
Thanks for reading this ,

I think you all are barking up the wrong tree. Supply side is never going to fix this when you need XP to move on in this game. People are always going to want to generate supply to generate XP, regardless of income.
You need to have the devs do something to increase demand. Make our products worth something. Most people barely want a house, and often think the maintenance fee is to high. We need the devs to
1. Make houses useful. Give them some kind of bonus for healing wounds. Make people have to have a house to own pets or mounts or vehicles. Tie in the size of the house to the number of pets you can have.
2. Give architects battlefield structures. These should not be faction perks.
We are never going to be as wealthy as weaponsmiths. If you want to be rich change professions. Why does everyone try and compare this profession to other crafting professions and say I want as much money as they get. Not gonna happen.
Sorry to disagree, but you can generate your own minerals for less than 1 credit per. I never have to move my harvestors for ore. There is always an ore present at 40% or better. Yes I sometimes move them if there is a 50% vein nearby, but I make up the redeed fee with the new productivity.
Nice to read a little common sense from Mkappus.
Mkappus is very correct when he brings up the issue of xp.... a large number of M.A.'s have been perfectly willing to undercut their competition during the process of leveling themselves to get xp. Once you make M.A. xp is not an issue, price is; thus the double standard that often appears on this board.
If any pricing guidelines are needed wouldn't it better serve the community if they were structured based upon level? I would guess that any item that required an M.A. would sell for 10x.... why not? Level IV minimum might be 7, Level III - 5, Level II - 3, and Level I - < 3.
The really ironic question I have though is why are M.A.'s building small houses or other Level I and Level II items.... that's pocket change and you call it profit?
I.M.H.O. level I and level II items should only be craftedby the novice. Reading posts from M.A.'s that whine about the price of a small house is really very sad.
3/U is really low, I usually don't sell any structure below 5/U.
Anyway, concerning "Fix the economy" I'm completely with you.

3cr/U is too cheap. I won't discount my prices to those levels.
Quit trying to "socialize" the economy. It is a free market. Spend time trying to differentiate yourselves from the competition and you'll find that price is not the issue, service is.
I had a guy tip me 100k on a guild hall because I had it in stock, and that was after selling it to him for 450k.
