Thread: Architect too easy?

As long as you have a steady supply of resources, Architect *IS* the fastest profession to Master. Many of our basic combines take large amounts of resources and therefore give large amounts of xp. We can take much larger steps up the experience tree than other crafters.

Even a solo Architect can advance much faster than a Weaponsmith or Droid Engineer or Armorsmith. The trick is to upgrade your harvesters quickly to yield the largest amount of resources possible,so you cankeep the click-fest moving.

The problem comes in once you reach Master Architect.

Once you get there, you will already know that people will buy your wares at less than you can buy the resources for, if you do that. At that point, it is much more efficient to plunk down heavy harvesters and just sell the resources.

Ifyou keep building, even if you harvest your own resources, your profit will always be overshadowed by the risk of a critical failure. If you lowball your products, then one crit failure on a final assembly can wipe out your profit for your next several structure sales. While climbing the tree and getting experience, this is annoying, but not a major ballbuster.

At Master, this becomes a lot more than just annoying.

Umm....

Guys, I just got Novice Arch, from about 5 hours worth of grinding to get there. I am also fairly advanced in Bio Eng (4/2/4/2) and I can assure you there is a major difference between the two classes progression wise.

It's not just about the number of clicks, some professions are just terrible to level in. As a BE, the most common item I grind net's me 105XP apiece, in practice mode. There is absolutely no "balance" in this game for difficulty to reach Master in any given profession, if you doubt this, try one of the painful ones like BE, and I can assure you, you will see my point of view.
