no - what aboutus nuetrals???

2) would you enjoy this level of risk of being involved with supplying your faction with Faction equipment ?

Not sure how to answer this one as a nuetral. Not being aligned should give me freedom to work for either side.

3) would you feel that you were being forced into PvP?

no - even if they came up with a way to TEF a nuetral person over this I would not feel I was forced, as I chose to build the structure.

the whole idea of the tef.. is .. If I am an imp.. and a rebel group comes upon me producing imp weapons that can only be used by imps and only used while overt.. would not the rebels do something to disrupt the production of these weapons?

I agree that I dont want to be open to 100% of the time to rebels having free for all attackability on me.. but then again if i knew there were going to be rebels in the area I probably wont craft that item .. that is the level of risk and awareness I am talking about..

My motivation personally of wanting to craft GCW items .. is I want a more active role in the war.. I would love to be at the sight of a base placement rushing to get the base up and fortified.. knowing there is a chance that rebels could stop or at least delay this base placement.. thus makeing it a need for soldiers to be there to defend me.. ..If it is just merely of wanting to craft this to have more things to craft then I would push for new items solely all together.. that had nothing to do with the gcw and roll a fighter alt..

Dvnce, my only problem with this whole thing is, what about those of us that have no faction affiliation, nor do we choose to be involved in the GCW as a combatant? My Architect has absolutely no combat skills what so ever, he's Master Architect, Master Merchant and Master Artisan, also messing around with Weaponsmith, which doesn't really allow him to have much of a defense, aside from a droid and maybe the CDEF pistol/rifle/carbine which everyone can use.

I love the idea of added flavor, and if I would have kept the original template to my Architect in tact, i.e. Novice Marksman w/Pistols as the weapon of choice, then I wouldn't mind any of this, but as you can see, I haven't got the combat skills to go running around building things for the Imperials or the Rebels for fear of getting said TEF and getting hit by a griefer. Maybe if the Imps/Rebs come to call on my to build, they'd be required to protect me, but hell, one shot, one death and BAM, I lose a % on my items health. ( Don't tell me it doesn't happen because it DOES ).

I love this whole idea, and I think that you opening it up for debate or even for just being a poll, is a good thing to do. But sometimes the needs of the few need to be heard above the needs of the many, and in this case, there are a few of us that are TRUELY NEUTRAL, and we need to be assured that even though we build these items, which we should still be able to do, we don't get all caught up in something we wanted no part of. Also, as I said in my answers to this poll, if a Weaponsmith or Armorsmith or heck, even a Tailor doesn't get a TEF from building a weapon that an Imp or Reb uses, then why should we? We are creating a structure, we are not engaging in it's use, we are not engaging in WHO is operating it either or what it's operation is for, we are building it, because we have a customer that is asking us to.

Also, what about an Imp architect that builds one for a Rebel, how does that TEF work? Or are you just going to tell us that because of the GCW, Imperial Architects can no longer build for the Rebels or Reb Architects can't build for Imps? That's cutting your customer base in 1/2 to 1/3 which ever is greater on your current server. See my point? I'm not arguing that we should atleast ask the other Architects about this, I'm simply stating that this was not thought through enough for the other 1/3 of the pie, the true neutral crafter/players in the game. Sorry about the lengthy post here, but I just needed to aire this out.

Not sure what your talking about Huntercrom.. IMO if we got to build factional items then you WOULD HAVE to join that faction.

Being a neutral would mean that you only get the standard Architect stuff to build. Then you decide to go rebel and when you do the rebel recruiter adds the schematics to your datapad. Same goes for imps.

As for a nme faction shooting at you while your making the factional items then thats the risk imo, and it should be a risk.. you'd have to have guards OR goto a rebel city and make said items.

1) would you accept this form of being able to craft GCW items? Yes This is a glaring hole in the GCW for pure crafters.

2) would you enjoy this level of risk of being involved with supplying your faction with Faction equipment ? Yes - Just like a covert Rebel, who undertakes a rebel mission, you have a TEF and can get attacked. I remember fondly the days of EE hanging out around Imperial mission's waiting for the reb to finish it off just so they could farm points from the unsuspecting.

3) would you feel that you were being forced into PvP? No I choose to take the risk if I choose a side.

1) would you accept this form of being able to craft GCW items? Accept? If it happens I would make factional items. But accept is not the right wording. I don't want to accept shuttles taking 10 mins between planets, but it happens and I'm not going toquit over it. in short- Yes

2) would you enjoy this level of risk of being involved with supplying your faction with Faction equipment ? ATEF is FAR superior to having to be overt for it. Only a 5 min wait before your safe again is FAR better than having to wait an hour.

Yes, but I would rather have to pay FP

3) would you feel that you were being forced into PvP? no

Caveat: I think you should have to be covert to craft factional items, then you would not need to incur a TEF upon making them.
