Ok,

Slight error here on my part I think. Looks like there must be an error in the mabari chestplate schematic as it is calling for 290 hide and 7 cores while every other chestplate schematic I have seen since this morning has 100organic plus 3 cores. Hence 280 organics (bone or hide) for that chestplate. Still quite a bit but not outrageous and only 36 layers for the full monty layer loadout.

Don't get me started on the new layer resources though.Looks like every layer requires 1 named carb ore and one named gemstone. This probably explains why the devs thought UT might be fun since carb ores are one of the only resources with a higher UT gate compared to SR and the other layer resources have similar SR/UT gates. Of course, how they forgot to consider the large glut of SR/Q resources already in circulation in their ponderings still baffles me Would have been much easier to tweak the carb ore gates post CU and keep Q+SR.

Offer my winnings to the resource vendor at:

ZK Combat Gear - 800m from Threed Starport on Naboo, waypoint -4643 3380

Kreen - Armorsmith+2, Artisan, Merchant, Master Carbineer. RIS Certified
Moeru - The all new SOE harvesting template MBH, MRifles Pistols 0404. (Goodbye Master Ranger until the revamp)

And that is a common misconception...

You're not on my server but as a Ranger i feel it more viable for myself to work together with as/tailor/chef and so on to supply what they need on reasonable based pricing, as long as they keep their prices reasonable too.

I mean, if you ask, say 50k for a padded armor set now, and 150k after cu then I would raise my price too, since I need to be able to buy the padded in case of an emergency ...

Take another approach. Keep the same price for armor and try to make the armor within those limits.

If you can make better armor which migh need more quality or stuff, then you can charge more cause ti is custom made...

Here's some other perspective for you.

Right now, I normaly make my runs of armor pieces in 25 unit runs. for most of the pieces, 750 units of a good, wooly hide will make one run of pieces, or if I make it by hand, 3 full suits of composite will use up 630 units of hide. now, for one mabari chest, we're talking 710 units of hide? One piece. Not one suit.

Right now, since mabari is a nice, low-level suit of armor, I only charge about 8k for a good, 26% base suit. all 5 pieces. And you expect me to keep my prices the same, when I can't even make one piece, for what I used to make several full suits out of?

These requirements are ludicrous, and prices will change to follow. At least for the AS's that are still in the game.

Ya, it's all starting to make sense now, isn't it. They are trying to make it so only the super elite are going to get armor. Our sales aren't going to increase, they are going to decrease drastically. I seriously think they are trying to stop us from being the credit giants that we are.

May have to go over to custom made armor.

You'll have to excuse my rambling, my mind is still staggering from the idiocy of it all. Ummm, how do u figure that we arent going to be the credit giants that we are... think of this at 710 hides for a mabri chestplate (im not even gonna try to imagine the advanced components in this) plus a higher amount of high quality resources... so just figuring hide prices on bria being at about 100c per a unit (this likely to go up due to demand, doc meats sometimes went as high as 250c a unit). thats a cost of 71000 credits in hides just for a mabri chestplate. So lets just toss in the other resouces and round it to 100k in cost for a mabri chestplate..

So lets say you want to be a sane armorsmith in this new system and take a modest 50% profit for all your troubles in talking rangers into getting hide for you, tracking down the other resources and actually making the item.. Your talking 150k for a mabri chestplate (and heck mabri is a low level armor).. But it wont even stop there, with the way the players buy and resell and with the demand being what it will be... I can imagine armorsmiths having to sell that Mabri chestplate for 500k just to keep something on vendor and not have people running around reselling stuff on you.

SWG is like a car wreck, you cant help but stop and look.
