Who the devil are you to decide what is a 'fair' price and determine who is greedy and who is not? Did almighty Holocron step down from Austin and give you the official "This-Resource-Cost-Per-Unit-Is-Officially-Greedy" magic wand?

If you are selling the items you make at the highest possible price, it's called shrewdness. Greediness is taking up so much bandwidth with silly posts like that one.

Don't you think 500k is abit pricey? Not everyone sells 10k-15k, 35-50k, and 100-175k houses every day or sell weapons and make much more back, the people whom have a use for these things such like the fighters have to basically pool together their money till they get 500k+. That's days and days of work....

Huh, that's funny. It takes like 4 days to get all the resources just to make the PA hall.

What do you mean 4 days?!?! You are not doing something right because I can build a PA once a day and still have ore left.

Really? How many lots do you have at your disposal? I only have 6. My shop and factory take up 4. So let's say I put all 6 heavies on a 60% ore vein and I buy power. That would give me approxiametly 36288 resources. It takes 35906 ore alone. So day 1 you spend just getting ore. Day 2 you spend trading ore for the other 20000 odd resources you need. So you're right, 4 days is a bit much. I could probably do it in 3 if I had 5 heavies and a fusion reactor. I ask again, how many lots do you have?

The people who sell for 3-4 credits per resource are neglecting their very real costs of owning factories and the TIME that you put into the profession. Truth be told, you can mine resources for about 0.8 credits each, however that's just the cash costs. In the real world we call these fixed costs and they usually represent less than 20% of the final purchase price of a product. Everyone says that it costs 56k resources to build a PA. That's horse pucky. What about all of the schematics that you have to make? Those cost resources too!

Since this is a PA hall discussion, lets address it specifically. I'm not going to start spewing metrics about how 6 times 2000 equals 234902835, but think about it, to make a PA hall by yourself you have to be both master architect AND master artisan, and own 2 factories. (3 lots total). So, now you run around willy nilly collecting resources, making schematics (don't forget your critical failures boys) and you finally have the right stuff to make the final combine. Last night I did this and combined with buggy factory crates, buggy power core unit generation IN the factories, and putting up with Corellia being lagged beyond belief, it took me FIVE HOURS to create the hall. And I had all of the resources on my person!

I sold that hall for 250k and immediately afterward decided that I would NEVER do one again for under 400k. I could have made that in half the time selling furniture on the bazaar....

I do combines for 250k and full PA hall for 750k (I gather the resources)

This is on the Valcyn server and we only have 3 Master Architects. I think this is a fair price and their really isn't much of a market.

Crits are too bad so sad on this also.

why are you people paying 20+creds a resource for the customer to bring in the ore?

if you'd like i can sell you the ore for your PA hall, i'll go create the accounts to do it right now.

Bla bla bla. Tired of hearing ppl moan about how much architects sell PA halls and how architect tell those ppl to complain about weaponsmiths and armor smiths and how much they charge.

I'm an architect and I used a cpu based pricing whether I mine the resource or buy it. That's my deal, take it or leave it. However, at 3cpu a Large Naboo House would run 111k, and a Naboo PA would run 167k.

I normally will go 4-5cpu in case I had to buy resources. Which would make a LG House run 121k and PA run 182k.

Now before all the architect get's thier panties in a wad OUR TIME needs to be compensated. As well as Weaponsmiths and Armorsmiths. They do a lot of experimenting to get the armor/weapon the way that ppl want.

Architect's I can tell you don't do a lot of experimenting and I know a lot of them don't. Maybe on crafting stations but that's about it. But to make 15 walls takes 150 structure modules and if you crit a wall, Iknow the other Architects feel the pain on that one.15 walls take a lot of time and a lot of resources.

Anyone can goon the net and see how much it takes to make each object in the game. Weapons use far less resources yet take a lot of experimentingwhere houses/pa halls take a lot less experimenting and a boat-load of resources and time.

I expect no less that 200k profit from a PA hall of any type. So I sell mine from 375k-400k. That's low enough yet doesn't kill me. Large Houses are a different story. Wierd thing, PA's use a few more resources than Large houses yet cost 3 times as much. Go figure. Even I'm guilty of that. I say deal with it. I agree a guild can afford a PA hall and normally want it fast. That means buying resources. And man oh man if you crit on a PA hall it really hurts the pocket book.

Just rants and raves from me. Take it for what it's worth and deal with it. PA halls are expensive. But you can still find ppl that'll give good deals. Not all architects are greedy. But I am LOL (joke)
