Thread: Two Questions...

OK I know the uber template thing has hashed out here before, but as a swordswoman I am getting tired of getting my butt kicked bySTs and other NPCs with blasters. They all run away and I am unable to keep up to effectively fight them. It just freaks me out that I can solo 6 rancors at a time and 6 3k HAM STs wipe me out. So I want to take on another profession to a) be well rounded combat b) contribute (not necessarily uber) to PvP and the GCW. I have always been interested in rifleman and carbineer, but dont know what I should do.....Any suggestions?
My second question is about area attacks. Now I used to use 2HAreaAttack2 for all my area attakcs and ofcourse the posture never changes, but someone recently told me that Spin2 was better. I am 2/3/4/3 Sword right now and dont have area3 but curious about which is better Spin or Area? On the same note, as far as taking damage with buffs, is it faster to just HeadHit 3 each MOB one at a time or do the area attacks.

Riffleman is great with swords... in PvP being versitile will win the fight (as long as you have anti KD food for them knockdown spammers)...
As for area2 vs spin... experiment and find out what works for you... I think area is better myself It cuts down on the incoming damage if you get a posturedown.

I was in the same boat as you, tinkered for a while. My template now....Master Sword/Master Rifle/Master Brawler/Novice Medic. I just added the Master Brawler recently, man does it make a difference. Inimidate 2 and the +5 2h speed alone are indispensable. This is a very powerful template. I can excel tremendously in both ranged and melee situations now. And sword/rifle compliment each other very well(specials hit same ham pool, you get ranged and melee mitigation 3, etc.)

1. In one of the SWG trailors, I saw some tuskens fighting some stormtroopers... how in the world did the devs get THAT to happen... you walk on tatooine and the biggest battle you see is a worrt fighting some other stupid little animal.
2. This next one is actually for the devs...
Why did you guys release the game BEFORE it was done? This game was hardly half-finished when you guys released it. I wouldn't mind waiting for a little while to have the game FINISHED instead of having to pay 15$ a month just to watch a game become better and better... people want things NOW

The simple answer is they didn't. The Devs didn't release it before it was done, management did.
As for why they did, the answer is simple: money!
The game was in development for four year prior to release, and in planning for a further three years before that. That's a hell of a lot of money sunk into the project without any return at all ($millions I would say). Management decided that it was time for the project to start paying some money back, so it was released.
I was in the last beta test before release. We were expecting at least a couple more months of beta testing before it was even considered for release, probably more. Then all of a sudden we were told the beta would be finishing in a week, and the game would be released a week after that.
The game was not ready for release, everyone knew that (even the Devs), but management had spoken so it was out of their hands.
Considering how good the game is compared to what was releasedI think the Devs have done a wonderful job so far. I just can't wait until they actually get it to release standard. Should happen in a couple of months I think.

he changed the file name for bone armor and those guys are actually wearing bone armor, not mandolorian

First, what's the best culsion gas and titanium aluminium in game right now? I want to craft some new sabers cause they are going to whack the old ones and I'm green bar on everything except these to resources.
Second, I just watched that jedi tale movie in another thread am still laughing so hard I've got tears... How do you guys make those?
