I really think that Complexity difference is the big issue on why there is a variance.... Maybe we as architects are not seeing much variance because we are running into an issue where our artisan skills are adding to our Arch skills thus giving us an inflated Bonus .. so at master level we are capping possible bonuses.. This would make sense we have had many issues where our Artisan skills were being used for Architect items.. Also I have talked to some Docs .. and they can tell a difference between -14. eqpuip and maxed out ones..

Well I don't think that the artisan skills would go into the formula if you are making an architect item that uses architect skills. If artisan was added into the formula say for a harvester then we'd be seeing very erratic results from one master architect to another due to our varying levels of artisan skill. I don't think that is the case. But it would be interesting though to compare the experimentation results between a master architect / master artisan versus a master architect/ artisan with just engr. 4. Maybe you are on to something.
I've also had customers say that they see a difference in the high rating crafting stations. But I've never known if this is a valid observation or just something people imagine cause they expect higher results.

Gosh - it would only require a very simple but *precise* statement from SOE to end it.
Until then, we are trying to make the transition from "magic" to "science", in a world with potentially high costs to experiment and with the underlying laws of physics changing monthly.
